They can do whatever they want. I'm done watching until Sullivan is gone.....or it's Sid or Geno's last game....which blows my mind that might come before the first thing.

Hasse saying that Dubas has let the league know that everyone but Sid is available.

That's nice and all but that doesn't do much when half the roster has a NMC or NTC. Also just ignores the rotten and moldy problem on the team
A league source told me earlier this week that Kyle Dubas has made it known to other teams that "everyone is available, except 87." And while Dubas has done well to replenish the pool with picks and prospects over the past year or so, the objective of any near-future moves wouldn't be to add more futures. Rather, it'd be to acquire actual players back, since this isn't a "tear-it-down-to-the-studs rebuild" yet, as Dubas likes to say. He remains committed to trying to win with at least Crosby. Ownership made that promise to Crosby over the summer, that the Penguins would be better this season.

Better be 2-3 players missing from practice today due to trade reasons.

But only thing that'll happen is sending Blomqvist down and maybe inserting Poulin in the lineup for one of the finns.

"We just gave in," Marcus Pettersson said. "It's inexcusable. In front of our home crowd, too. We gave in after two goals. It's inexcusable."

Pettersson also referred to the scene as "the same old thing."
Seriously...how does a coach survive players openly talking like this to the media? We're mentally weak, gave up, and it's been like this for a while.

I guess they will label Petts as a malcontent who was causing problems in the lockerroom and needed to go for whatever shitty return they end up getting for him. Well, congrats, Petts. You're one of the lucky ones who will be able to escape this shitshow.

"Its kind of funny for a guy like Marcus Pettersson to say this, considering this team hasnt won a playoff series since hes been here." - One of the Pens media stooges, probably.

I just watched that Sid mic'd up video from Fleury's last game in Pitt, and one clip Malkin is asking Crosby if they are going 1 or 2 in on the forecheck because he isn't sure and Sid has to tell him 2-1-2. And it's like, how don't players in the NHL know what type of forecheck you are running. I say this knowing sometimes depending on opposing team personnel, their breakout and their adjustments you change how you are forechecking or how you deploy F2 and F3, but I've never even seen Sullivan change any system mid-game in 6 years, so I don't know how that message isn't loud and clear.

Oh good, Dubas is on the prowl to make the team even worse. Dude is a champ at unintentionally ruining a team.

I mean, at this point, if you're a fan of the big guns you might as well want them dealt. This team's run by morons and is going to absolutely butcher the final decade of hockey either of them play in the NHL. /shrug

Yeah, it *shouldn't* have been this way, but it is. Either they stay and rot here or they get dealt and play meaningful hockey again elsewhere. Those are the two options, sadly. I'd still prefer they stuck around and retired but I'm not gonna be broken up if they escape pod outta this shithole.

Well I guess that is Sid's fault for not realizing Sully would still be the coach.

I don't know what else this team needs to do to make it obvious that the "tear it down to the studs rebuild" is what they should be doing.

Ask everyone on the team whether they'd be willing to be traded and try to trade anyone who would be willing to be moved.

Fire the coach who is the exact coach you don’t want during a rebuild. Sullivan would be awful for a rebuild.

Raise your hand if you as a fan didn’t get the memo where Geno Malkin becomes less important to the team than the coach

I know people roll their eyes at me sometimes over my griping about Malkin and fair enough but it's f***ing infuriating. And it's been trending this way a while.

What will this team do when they no longer have their knockaround guy to take the fall for everything I wonder?
