Regarding the Oilers deal, Evander Kane is much more enticing than Warren Foegele. Yeah, there is baggage but he is the type of player this franchise desperately needs. Someone who does not always play nicey nice. Someone who actually rankles the opposition. And, the dude can also snipe.

Most things are more enticing than Warren Foegele. But just say no to cancer.

As far as the type of player this team needs, you may be right but nobody who plays with even the slightest kind of "nasty" to his game -- like even Lars Eller or Noel Acciari once did -- will EVER be allowed to play that way in a Penguin sweater and will be turned into vanilla pudding upon arrival or shortly thereafter.

I would rather lose Guentzel for nothing that trade him to Edmonton lol
Not me. Would rather trade him anywhere, even the flyers, than lose him for nothing. He's the only trade chip we.have that can return a damn. Need to maximise the return!

A thought I had this morning was would you consider the hypothetical Guentzel trade as more of a Jordan Staal trade”1st,nhl ready player and a prospect” or a Marian Hossa “1st rounder, high prospect “at the time was” and 2 nhl ready players”? I realize Hossa had some better numbers but I feel like Guentzel has to be one of the better wingers available at the deadline in awhile.
Staal had a season left on his contract. They will not get that quality back..

I don't know much about him, but what's wrong with Foegele?

From his stat line, he seems like he'd be a decent L3 addition. 13G 29P in 53 games, almost entirely at EV. +3. Relatively even OZ/DZ starts (51.6% OZ). A little more than a hit per game. Decent size 6'2" 200lbs.

Is he slow as molasses? Got those stats next to McDavid or Drai?

When is Poulin supposed to be back? Would love to see...

Rakell-Crosby-Rust
O'Connor-Malkin-Puustinen
Smith-Eller-Bemstrom
Poulin-Acciari-Puljujarvi
I haven’t seen much of his play in Wilkes barre it seems every game I went to he was out/hurt. At this point in his career is he basically going to be a good 3rd liner/grinder type who can put up like 10-15 goals a year?

He hits a lot.

What can we get for him? If it’s good return, trade him…

Really Flounder McHeartAttack ?

We could get a haul the likes that has not been seen round these parts in years! Particularly with 50% retention.

A 1st round pick for starters! Either '24 or '25 OUR preference
A Highly regarded prospect or ready made young NHLer (yes that also)
An established but young NHL depth player to help with the cap
A late round draft pick (5th or 6th)

Not retaining 5 years on Jarry!

I like how this place has gone from "Tristan Jarry sucks, Dubas gave out a team killing contract by re-signing him" to now "Jarry's good and valuable, let's trade him for assets" in like 6 months

He’s having a good year and we know it’s not gonna last lol…

That's goaltenders for you.

A boat anchor one day and top third league starter the next.

He's been good this year but what'll it be next month?
