I feel like Kessel should sign an AHL deal for the Milwaukee Admirals (near his home town) and just tool around and rip goals until he's like 50.

Wish they had a Kunitz and Roberts type.

Kunitz Crosby Smith
Guentzel Malkin Rakell
O'Connor Eller Harkins
Roberts Acciari Nieto
*Prime Kunitz. Yeah, a cannonball winger with the speed and IQ to score 50-60 points who could blow people up on the forecheck would be our 2nd most important winger after Guentzel.

I'd like the Pens to target a guy like Trenin at the deadline.

Hathaway was right there in free agency waiting for us.
I think Pens prioritized centers rather than wingers. Hathaway got a little less than Eller and a little more than Acciari.

The bottom six wingers, except Carter, are all under $1 million.

Really? They're basically the same player, only Acciari can play center.

I know Eller has played well, but I'd have taken Hathaway over him and tried to figure something else out at center.
Had Poulin not missed last year perhaps but without one of Eller/Acciari, Carter would be 3rd line center if one of the top 3 were injured. I did want them to sign Hathaway btw.

I don't think Hathaway and Acciari are anywhere close to the same player.

Hathaway is a much better fighter, hitter, and has way more size. Acciari is a Brandon Tanev type and way more offensively talented.

I had hoped Pens got Hathaway AND Trent Frederic but oh well. Pens bottom 6 depth would have been better with those 2 and probably someone like Janmark.

Trent Frederic was never an option.
Was always going to be re-signed.

… funny thing with wins… and favorite player doing favorite player things… today is legit the first time since last season I’ve looked at our depth chart! I even see that we got Zohorna back! I had no idea! And the waiver guys we got in I couldn’t pick out of a lineup, unless everyone else in it was Asian.

A chance for redemption for Z though! Oh my! Another narrative for me to cling on to desperately (as if Sully would give him a real chance considering how well Z did last time he didn’t). Joy. Z is my new Despres, really. Though I understand I am reaching here.

Great.... Means were trading him for fan favorite Sheary at the deadline.

Z was our 2nd best bottom-sixer in camp too, by almost everyone's account. It's unfortunate that performance means nothing.

With Shea and Ludvig, along with Ruhwedel being a Sully fav, does anyone think Joseph may be on the trade block for a forward? I haven't seen much from Harkins, perhaps they want to improve there.
Looking at rosters, maybe Edmonton? Erne or Holloway for Joseph?

Dubas will make a move if he can find a cap move that fits. Carter in 2 months gives them close to 1 million in space. Carter just is done and not sure how you deal with that cap wise. Pens pick up 100K if he is cut. White fits as a RH center if Dubas can do the impossible.
