My quick assessment is Ponomarev is immediately NHL ready, Koivunen starts in AHL and Lucius goes back to Wisconsin for another year or two.

My quick assessment, Dubas is now Dumbass! Why? because he's stupid and bereft of any redeeming qualities as a GM. He's a corporate suit who's vanilla, unimpressive and insanely inept! Other than that he's fantastic!

How does this deal compare to other deadline rentals over the last few years? I'm genuinely curious.

-Horvat (25%) for 1st (top 13 protected), Raty (possibly more highly regarded then than anyone we got), Beauviller (similar if not less valuable to Bunting)

-Meier for conditional 1st (similar conditions to ours), conditional 2nd, Mukhamudullin (former 1st rounder) Fabian Zetterlund (again in line with the best prospects we got here), and depth/crap players going each way to confuse things
