I understand why it happened, the Zucker-Granlund connection but getting him at full value makes no sense at all. I'll wait to see how they all play together first but I guess we are getting someone like Henrique next to play 3C.

Ya this trade only really make sense if the pens are getting another good forward. I have no issue improving the bottom 6 by improving the top 6. Still think they need an LD though.

Rather went the route the Caps did and trade their UFAs for picks and moved them in a trade and got younger tbh, seemed like a pretty good move.

The more I think about this - this has to be a plan to play him and Zucker on third line. For every cup win, there was a 3rd line that was productive. Next ingredient in that recipe is firing the coach.

I mean a cup is not happening. However Zucker and Granlund going lights out together would cause some issues for other teams. Eventually Boston or Carolina won’t have any of it.

That trade is basically just Dumo and a 1st for Miller. The Nucks just had a chance to get McGinn for free. He pretty much has negative value at this point
