It was pretty bad, but not quite as bad as you've described....Boston scored their 3rd goal halfway through the 2nd period, so it was really 5-3 with about 30 min to go, not 5-2 with 10 min to go. I'm not exact with min of course, PIT went up 5-2 at 11min mark or so in the 2nd and Boston scored like a min later

EDT: I'll always wait before declaring them done this season simply because this stretch was on a west coast swing, which is always tough for some reason.....last night was bad, but Boston is basically the best team in the league right now, so less sucky?

Pens fans like to blame Rutherford for our current woes, but he wasn’t the one that paid way too much for McGinn and Kap, signed a scrub like Archibald, botched the expansion draft, made what has been a disastrous trade of Marino, etc.

Rutherford was horrible after 2017, but Hextall has been lazy/horrible since day one.

Crosby looks great out there. He's not the issue right now. The bottom six has been pretty bad. I think losing Rodrigues created a hole. Carter being injured doesn't help things.

Some of us OG Pens fans have been saying this since 18....most have been banished for truth from the Pens board. Now even the "keep the CORE" are even complaining.......as I predicted.

I could go on for days regarding the state of the team, but I'll summarize with two horrible decisions.

Extending a rapidly declining Carter for TWO YEARS.
Extending Mike Sullivan who had two year remaining on his current deal, when the Pens have flamed out 4 straight years.

Was mainly responding to the fact that no Pens fan was clamoring that we had the best offense in the league. I didn’t remember exactly who made the thread in question, I just knew it was a Rangers fan and that it seemed like an obvious jinx attempt.

I was likely equally as happy about the Rangers recent 4 game losing streak. Obviously nothing personal.
