The guy supposed to come off was at our blueline when Petterson jumped on. It was an easy call to make.
Yes 100% and not a close call and should have been an easy call for the refs. But you see those calls missed because it takes courage for the referee to take away an apparent game winning goal for the Penguins. Or just because they are human and miss calls all the time. And it’s split second and resembles a normal change.

In the middle of a game, if one club isn’t grabbing an odd man rush advantage out of it, it’s a change they often let go.

In 3 on 3 under the specific circumstances it’s a game winning illegal advantage and they have to call it.

The resilience is simultaneously a good thing and covering up deeper problems. Either way, I'd rotate Holtz and Zetterlund in, at least against the Preds and Canucks.

Wood is lost at sea right now, and Boqvist can't ever make anything happen. That third line is the enigmatic part of this team. Think it only gets resolved post-trade.

Cmon this is one of the most ridiculous plays ever. The other Pen is off screen to the left inside the Pens zone.

That was so absurd, I was basically storming out of the arena in a huff but when the people behind me started celebrating I knew 'thank god, they actually did call the too many men bullshit when it's more patently obvious than like 99% of the other too many men calls'. Apparently there was a whistle before the 'goal' too per Vitek, so that's why he wasn't at full attention on the shot.

That’s why they got a 2 on 1. Their player that jumped off was already at our blue line and ultimately scored or didn't, while Zucker was taking his time getting off the ice

Well, that would make it too many men. It didn't look like he was offside when I saw it live, though.

Timo is the dream, but I’d settle for Henrique. We have enough to get to the playoffs without doing anything, but to make a run we probably need to add.

Marino back will be big and Luke is a huge wildcard too.

Henrique and Timo would be perfect because they're basically be long term, Horvat would be cool since it gives that Hughes + Haula combo a more roided version but it's probably a luxury to waste assets on that.

We had 56 points (24-14-8) after 46 games in 17-18 and didn't get point 64 until game 56 and win 30 in game 58.

Game 56 was when we actually started a 17-8-1 run to clinch a spot before losing the regular season finale while I think we sat a few guys. Which came after a 5-11-3 stretch that really put us back on the bubble and maybe even right out of a playoff spot at the time that run started?

We had 54 points after 46 games (26-18-2) in 11-12 and didn't get point 64 (and 65) until game 53. And the 30th win in game 52.

We went 22-9-3 from the all star break onward that year. We were right on the bubble coming out of the all star break that year, before winning 5 in a row out of the break and going 9-1-1 after that.

They called it because it wasn't close and they knew that Ruff would have challenged it otherwise they certainly would have not called it

ROFL. Awesome. You can't fool me, Jamie Hersch.
I swear she said either Leah or Jamie Hischier at one point in the game, which was a bit of context. I think she was saying her name (which isn't Leah, but maybe I had Leah on my mind after the posts where people were dreading the possibility of her calling the game, which I don't think she works for NHLN at all anyway) and then said Hischier the next word, in regards to something happening out on the ice.

So I joked ''Jamie Hischier? Is that Nico's wife, sister or mom? I didn't know he was married?''.

I liked her, I thought she did a good job, even though I do prefer hearing our announce team over anyone else.

This is still totally f***ing amazing! 64 points right now. I think plus 18 in regulation is our season high! Take time to smell the roses 🌹 everyone!

Happy for the win. Pissed I couldn’t watch it.
Yeah not a thing of beauty you didn't miss too much. Watch the highlights and you'll like those.

Well it wasn't an especially entertaining game, but if you like Vitek saves the last two periods of regulation were for you
Yeah crowd was pretty quiet. Sleepy afternoon vibe for everyone but, not a ton of things to get the crowd energized. Still we get a home win for another sellout crowd which is the norm of late.

So the Pens couldn’t cheat by clutching and grabbing and off puck interfernce in OT with the extra space so they find a different way to try to cheat that helps with tired old legs?

Not for nothing, but the Crosby goal on Vitek wasn't a good one, but I've seen worse goals that get written off due to ''Screens'' where there really is even less of a screen or a screen that really shouldn't be relevant.

There was a Pens dude that jumped through his vision on that shot and had cleared out just before it got to him.
