We lost a bunch we deserved to win in December and we've won a bunch that we've deserved to win in January

In the end, I think our record is still where it should be

The problem with the win’o’meter is it is based on league average goaltending and not average performance of the goalie in net.

Also most people (myself included) struggle to understand probability as expressed by percent and the meter aspect makes it worse. About 60% means Pittsburgh should win slightly less than 2 out of 3 times. The game went to OT and they had slightly better chances in regulation.

Devils have definitely been trying to force too much at home. Teams are sitting back more, collapsing in the neutral zone and in the slot, and just playing counter.

As much as these games lately haven’t been as dominant for the Devils, they are playing structured, smarter hockey defensively and in the neutral zone.

Definitely been struggling of late with execution on the rush and in the offensive zone. They need to figure out how to play through it or they’ll have issues long term.
