Think we played well after the first but i said it at the deadline, not upgrading Nemeth will be our downfall.
Couldn’t overspend to do it when you have Jones Nils and Robertson all coming though.

And these struggles are just against the Penguins. A team like the Canes or Avalanche are gonna run us out of the building.

We weren’t ready. It was obvious.

I can't stress this enough but Copp is a huge liability defensively. He literally can't skate right now cause of whatever LBI he has. keeps us in our own zone for much longer.

It's painful to watch him skate or try to. Seems like he doesn't even want to bend his knees. Who replaces him though?

Move Kakko up? Hunt rides with the 2 kids and put Brod on the 4th?

If GG really want to stir things up. Move Laf up with Mika. Put Kreider on the right with Bread. Move Hunt up with the Kakko and Chytil and Brod to the 4th.

I need to drink more.

If we screw the pooch on Monday, this series is pretty much over.
This team has won down 3-1 plenty. Win Game 5 at home and it puts the pressure back on the other team to win Game 6 to avoid going back on the road for a Game 7. The 4th game of a series is always hardest to win. But yes, going back home tied with home ice in a best of three series is most ideal.

I remember talking about Montreal last year, and don't get me wrong, that team going to the SCF was a black mark on NHL history, but I looked at their lineup at the time and I said "you know what? They have 18 NHL players."

In these marginal games, not having bad players is even more important than having very good players.

Right now the Rangers have at least four guys who just jump off the page as not belonging on the ice in important games. I'm not sure you can say that about anybody in Pittsburgh's lineup.

Oh yeah i don't have a solution, lol. just an observation.

Brod should be in regardless imo

  • Series obviously isn't over
  • Neither of these teams are going anywhere after this with this kind of play anyway
  • Nemeth and Schneider really aren't good in any aspect out there
  • Mika not good tonight
  • We won't have goaltending this bad going forward in my opinion
  • The 4th line is a freebie for Pitt too
  • Crosby is still so damned good
  • This is our team's first real playoff - this kind of stuff takes YEARS AND YEARS

Why we shouldn’t have been in a hurry to win this year and should have kept strengthening the future.

I know I said this in another thread once before, but I was looking for used skates, found a nice pair in my size that were super reasonable for their condition and literally passed on them when I saw they were Memeth's (he's literally a f***ing meme of a hockey player) skates.

Honestly, Shesty had baaaaaaaaaaaaaad luck tonight. I don't fault him, especially considering how shit they played in front of him.

This team has never won a playoff series.

Of course we can come back . If it gets to that of course it's possible. But what happened in 2014 and 15 as nothing to do with now

When is the last time the Rangers came from behind after trailing by multiple goals in the playoffs and ended up winning? I tried thinking of one instance in the recent past and I don't think they have. We all know how many times they have blown multiple goal leads. But they can never finish off a comeback.

They did NOT play shit in front of him. Maybe *Nemeth* did but the team was way better than Pitts 5 on 5 that 1st period. Shesterkin has no one to blame but himself on at least goal 3 and 4.

Some fluke in that first for sure, would have road Igor. Just didnt pot one in the 3rd, had some good looks after we tied it up, just couldnt finish. 3rd pair is just not getting it done.

For a vet who takes care of himself, Kreider seems gassed.
And yet I believe he's our points leader through these first three games. If not he's near the top.

We are a better f***ing team then shitsburgh and yet we're down 2-1 in the series. I mean there have been stretches where we totally dominate them. That's the most frustrating part.
I agree that we are the better team. But experience counts for something and they have been dominating at times also. These type of thing are a learning experience, and the Rangers are very resilien.
