Right. We’re scoring plenty. We aren’t getting enough goaltending. Shesterkin played a great third period in the win but otherwise he hasn’t given us an advantage at all. I mean not at all. He has to steal game 4.

You can’t build around a star goalie and then let up 5 goals twice (not counting the two empty netters).

That’s not great goaltending. Sorry. I don’t care what the save percentage is. This guy has to win you the series to go anywhere because he’s your edge. Through 3 games he’s been pretty average.

We outplayed them 5v5.

The Nemeth own goal started the shit show. Shit Penalty call against Braun and non-call with a blatant interference by Zucker.

ANYONE playing instead of Nemeth and we win.

I mean... to be down 1 goal w 8 mins left after being down 4-1 (Shesty putting one between his own legs) and then Geo giving up that ridiculous goal while tied... is... ummmmm something. I guess.

Showed some heart.

I mean we haven't even played decent hockey in this series yet. Maybe we will one game.

Then again, that chance never should’ve happened. Nemeth was first to the puck and had enough time and space for a quick out or to at least move the puck to the boards, but he did the one thing you can’t do there and get beat and turn the puck directly over. He needs to be out of the lineup. He looks like he’s moving in slow motion and he was directly responsible for 3 goals tonight.

We need Igor to be better than this. Some bad luck obviously but he was fighting it that whole period. That 4th goal needs to be stopped.

As much as I hate AG, I'm. Curious and concerned what happened to Igor tonight. Did the crowd get to him? Did the bad goal early rattle him that much? It is concerning how the period snowballed on Igor. I love Igor so I'm not dumping on him, I am just curious about the road forward and I hope be bounces back in game 4 with his usually dominants self.

Our D was bad especially nem and schneid.
I think jones nils would have played better(couldnt play worse)
Miller was the only good dman
Zib and krei need to show up
Obviously shesty needs to play better.

Exactly this. Are all of these goals “his fault”? No.

But this team needs him to steal games. He let up 5 then 4. Not cutting it.

There's no easy answer ....all the alternatives have shit the bed at times. We're a little weak there on the roster. have to face it.

We would have shoehorned at least one of them into the lineup anyway.

No matter what else happens, no matter how good or bad they are, the Rangers love their useless plugs doing things and stuff.

I trust him more than Georgiev but if teaching him a lesson that you f***ing show up in the playoffs costs us a win, I don't care. Considering we know what he's capable of, that was utterly unacceptable. I've had some really hard days at work lately where I got yelled at for f***ing something up and I make a fraction of what he makes.

I think the decision to play Nemeth, the pp's, Our best center doing nothing, losing every important faceoff are more of the reason we lost this game.

Seems to highlight how bad they have been defensively.
 
Honestly as rage Incuding as that game was. I’m glad we lost that game. We do NOT deserve to advance if we cannot take advantage of a third string goalie. The team cannot make any passes, their getting beat with the forecheck, Mika was 5/20 with faceoffs and has been putrid, Kreider has rocks inside his skull, Nemeth…. No comment, I can go on and on why. Galant is getting destroyed by Sullivan.

Zero leadership on this team, coaching has been abysmal.

Thank god I work Monday night.

Said it in the game thread. Don’t see how we could allow Georgiev to lose us a playoff game. Shesty should have been back for the 3rd. Or never pulled in the first place. Only 1 of those 4 was on him.

Just a sickening loss.
