What does his kids have to do with him snapping his leg. He was never the same when he came back

Jesus Christ! Are you really going to analyze a silly / sarcastic remark about a player having kids as if that had anything to do with his performance? Go outside and take a breather.

There are probably less than 5 players / assets the Make Beliefs would be interested in: DD, 2019 #1 pick, Kupari, possibly Clague, Akil Thomas, JAD. That's about it. Not a fit.
The Leafs want a young, top 4 RD. Kings dont have that. IF they had been playing Ladue FULLTIME the last year, we do have that, but the Kings refuse to give him 10+
consecutive games.

Your delusional if you think LaDue would be the center piece of any Nylander deal.....he wouldn't even be top 2 on the Marlies....cmon man

But it was one of Blake’s first moves as GM to resign Pearson to his deal, so he’s really just moving an asset he made the wrong call on, so it’s makes the return even worse in my opinion.

Pearson may have what will end up as career year in 16-17, but the contract was fine at the time. He had come back from a leg injury with two increasingly productive seasons. That he's gotten progressively less productive since signing that deal isn't on Blake or the Kings. That's a Pearson problem. Whether it's the off ice stuff, or he got satisfied after getting paid, or he was never that good to begin with, that's a Pearson problem. He played himself off the team, and I guess was the easiest guy to move, but hopefully he finds his game again with the Pens.

Hagelin, his age, and lack of production basically don't matter. The Kings are trash this year and things are not turning around. This is all about getting out from those additional Pearson contract years and just getting him the hell out of here, which speaks volumes about what other GM's think about Pearson (and his contract).

Toff next?

I'm all for making deals and getting back future assets but I definitely wouldn't sell low on Toffoli. You're going to need a guy like Toffoli to compete. Yeah, he's lazy and soft and shows up half the time but the guy can score. 25 goal scorers don't grow on trees.

I do not think so - am saying if he had been playing the last year and THIS year, he's a legit top 4 RD. His last game, he was best Kings D and he sits.

Saying 2 years ago, Nate Schmidt was like a jourmeyman defenseman and gets his chance and was pretty awesome in LV.
Ladue is one of those players that is going to emerge, once he plays..."well then, why don;t the Kings play him?"
Ask them. He's better than Forbort, Phaneuf, Fantenberg, and as good or better than Martinez.

Save this. One year from now, it will come to pass....but he may not be doing that here and that's a shame.
I think Ladue is better than Theodore too.

Not that it means anything, but Hagelin played with Thompson in Anaheim for a short period of time.

You guys are really going to love Hags blazing speed and defensive awareness.

Other times, he'll drive you crazy with his lack of finish.

I haven't seen much of Pearson. What can you guys tell me?

Even if they don;t dump Hagelin at the trade deadline,

HAgelin is gone at the end of the season, so you get out of the term and cap of Pearson....it's about flexibility than it is a hockey trade

This deal makes no sense for the Kings. We should be moving guys but for youth and picks not 30 y/o wingers.
Hagelin is an UFA after this season and they did need to move a contract for next year to stay under the cap, so there is that. And Hagelin can be moved again at the deadline.

I’d be fine with that, clears even more cap space and opens up a spot for Vilardi and perhaps they can pursue a player like Panarin in the off-season.

Why would we be pursuing Panarin, he's 27 years old. This team won't be competitive until he's at least 30, at very best.
