Doughty for Nylander, Liljegren, Zaitsev, and a 1st in 2020
All for a guy who can't do anything Wagner couldn't while also gaining valuable experience at 25% of the price.
Sure, maybe Hagelin gets flipped for a 3rd or 4th at the deadline. But this team doesn't need cap space to spend on another vet next summer, it needs picks.
Blake has been a disaster as GM. Every move has been the exact opposite of what the team needs to move forward.
Nothing is going to fix this season. The only reason to be upset by this deal is IF Blake doesn't flip Hagelin at the deadline, or sooner.Kings get older and a rental?
****ing kidding me?
For very, very little.
Or if you think Pearson could have gotten more futures than Hagelin can (debatable).Nothing is going to fix this season. The only reason to be upset by this deal is IF Blake doesn't flip Hagelin at the deadline, or sooner.
The market for Pearson probably wasn't that good. Pearson makes too much cap hit and his contract runs beyond this season. At least Blake got out from under Pearson's contract which will give him a bit more flexibility going forward. All for a guy who can't do anything Wagner couldn't while also gaining valuable experience at 25% of the price.

Not sure the first line is the best place for him then lol Putting him with Clifford might be the best place lolOK time to put Hags on the first line and give him major pp time to inflate those stats for the deadline.![]()

I don’t know what people were expecting to get from Pearson and his 1 point total this season.
Cleared 3.75 off the books for the next few seasons, and will trade Hagelin for draft pick/prospect.
So Kopitar to Nashville? I'd be ok with moving anyone at this point.
So we get the entire Islanders franchise??New York Islanders for Kopi, and Martinez in a package for Nylander. In that scenario Carts is a decent bridge player.
Give the Sabres a ring and see if they would be interested in a guy like AMart or Muzzin.
They have gotten off to a real solid start this year but could use some additional help on the back end.
I would think there could be a match for both clubs deal wise.
