One period of one game. Plenty of time to wake the **** up. Sharks have hurt pride from last year so we are just getting exactly what I expected minus the sloppy turnovers and d on our part.

The war isn't over in the first 20 min.

That's as ugly of a period of Kings hockey I've seen in quite some time. Just absolute trash.

Sutter needs to adapt to changing lines in the playoffs. Just because one combo worked in the cup run doesn't mean it would work next time. I would rather see

Pearson Carter Toffoli line as our second

It's only game one people. Relax. They just need to put the hurt on the sharks the rest of the game, and win game 2.

With that said, they need to change the lines. Richards back to the 4th, get Pearson on the second line with carter and toffoli. It was ****ing stupid of Sutter to mess with this line, it created so much balance but instead its a one line show.

It's only one period... You'd think some of you have never seen the payoffs before. I'm not saying the Kings are going to come back and win this game, but let's see how they respond the rest of this one eh?

Anyone who is surprised that the Sharks came out flying in game 1 in their own barn after we eliminated them last year is crazy.

Having Nolan in over Pearson is also stupid, the 4th line can't do anything right but hit it seems.

Yup. It's either nolan or Clifford coming out. And where the **** is brown? I don't give a damn if knees someone, as captain make a damn impact play for a change. Did he even touch the puck at all that period?

Sutter is a complete idiot for ****ing putting Richard's back on the second line. Things were going great with him on the forth line. And wtf does TT get punished for all the time?? He needs to be on the second pp unit. Pull your head out of your ass dimwit Darryl.

Richards played about as awful as one can possibly play from December to the end of the season, and he still has him on the 2nd line to start the playoffs, goodluck in hoping he makes any kind of change at this point. And he seems content to match him up against Thornton, which is comical. I cringe everytime I see a faceoff and it's #19 vs. #10. I'm a big Sutter fan but he has lost me with his use of certain players. The Pearson-Carter-Toffoli line was playing well, and even MR had a couple of decent games on 4th line and looked comfortable in the 4th line role. Then Sutter inexplicably returns to the awful Richards/Carter duo which hasn't done squat offensively since November and has been horrible defensively for the last two seasons.

I don't get it.

Yup. Slow on defense and one scoring line is the problem with this team.

You see guys like Regehr and Mitchell exposed against teams like SJ and Chicago. We were fortunate in our cup run to not have to really face a highly skilled and fast team, that has not been the case the last two years.

I don't mind King as a bottom six lw, actually like him a lot, but the Kings need to upgrade the 2nd line lw and center (if they want Carter at RW) because one line teams don't win championships.

They beat these guys last year. Quit over analyzing everything. Does there always need to be an excuse or someone to blame. The kings played bad that period. All of them. San Jose played well. Give them credit but we know the kings can beat these guys. The roster is not an excuse.

I hope they see this as an opportunity to put the hert'n on! But really, kings should just come out with the rough stuff. There is nothing to lose and at least it might rattle them a bit. I would just like to see some passion and energy... Kinda like San Jose has had so far.

Go for the moral victory?

I think they regardless if they lose this one or not, they need to wear the sharks down. So what if they are boarding penalties or late hits. Not saying they should injure anyone, but they need to make the sharks feel it in the morning.

As much crap as Regehr is getting, lets not forget about Voynov's idiotic pinch. The Kings dmen seem to pick the worst time to pinch and leave their partner high and dry. I'd say the defensive coverage from the forwards has been just as bad as the dmen.

True, but give the Sharks some credit. They came out with a purpose and converted. Still just one period down in a 7 game series...

Yeah, and I knew they would be jacked up, but it's still frustrating as hell to watch.

And someone needs to take a run at Mike Brown. And for everyone that's gonna get worked up, I'm insinuating exactly what you think.

Regardless, you see slow players get eaten alive by fast teams.

Our second line has King Richards Carter. Only Carter is fast on that.

Pearson Carter Toffoli is fast skilled line. I don't see the reasoning behind not having this when the current combo has done nothing..

Sutter needs to adapt
