They beat these guys last year. Quit over analyzing everything. Does there always need to be an excuse or someone to blame. The kings played bad that period. All of them. San Jose played well. Give them credit but we know the kings can beat these guys. The roster is not an excuse.

The Kings had home ice last year and certain players hadn't yet fallen off the cliff. Until the Kings win a game in SJ and/or Brown, Richards and Voynov return to anything close to last years form it's going to be tough to win this series.

Right now the Kings have one dangerous offensive line, do you disagree?

Going exactly how I expected , the Kings sleep walk till they have too, been this Core's MO forever even in 2012.

Doughty looks pretty bad , but I am sure he is going too stay injuried all playoffs.

This Sharks core is going too play hard actually this year. They know the window is closing , even Patty M is showing some passion. This year is it for the Sharks, they go out early again this core will be broke up.

I think they regardless if they lose this one or not, they need to wear the sharks down. So what if they are boarding penalties or late hits. Not saying they should injure anyone, but they need to make the sharks feel it in the morning.

The Kings need to worry about their own play. Whether or not the Kings take a few extra dumb penalties, they need to figure out how to play their game. If you're going to play on the Sharks' terms, you'll lose.

One would assume that a period like that would light a fire under the Kings', but we really don't know what to expect with this hockey club. Sometimes they have a tendency to crawl in a shell and look like they just want to survive 60 minutes. Other times they look like they are world beaters.

Lol. What the **** is going on.

Yeah, and I knew they would be jacked up, but it's still frustrating as hell to watch.

And someone needs to take a run at Mike Brown. And for everyone that's gonna get worked up, I'm insinuating exactly what you think.

I agree with this completely. Spend the second period trying to get back in the game, otherwise send a message and take brown out.

Not a fan of the lines. I think at the very least king should be with Stoll and brown but I think the kings can still win the series after the first period of this game. That's all. And as much as everyone wants to blame their pet player, the team played like poop in the first. I didn't see kopitar doing much. I saw gaborik loaf on a back check, nobody is vilifying him. probably because they did not score on that 2 on 1.

Richards at least looks like he got his legs back, Voynov looks as horrific as ever. I like Slava but boy he's having a terrible year. Gonna be tough, defense is nowhere near 2012 level either.

Not fallen off the cliff? Most of the guys were terrible last year, quick saved their *****. If anything I do think the kings offense is better than last year. Whether or not that results in wins remains to be seen.

One boneheaded play by Williams. Bad positioning voynov. Almost a goal.

I think this year could be another home team wins every game series.

We can get Kopitar against Thornton in LA it's a different game. But I don't see how we win a game in SJ. Everytime the Kings send the 2nd line out McLellan matches with the Thornton line, even when they aren't fully rested. Which everyone except for apparently Sutter knew was going to happen.
