I kinda wish it'd already happened, but I do think Buch will find his groove. I think he just needs the chance to play through his struggles with decent linemates, and actually find it. Ideally, I'd either reunite KZB or play him with Chytil and Zibanejad, give the line 8-10 games to gel and see if good things happen

NHL.com lists him as having played over 21 mins. I missed the game, but that's a good sign, imo

Quinn moved him up into Kreider's spot for most of the third period; probably how he ended up with that much TOI.

He played his best game since the injury imo. He showed his skill, but also he skated hard the entire night and engaged guys every chance that he got. Was very noticeable all game; I don't remember being able to say that since he's gotten back.

Pavel Buchnevich has silently 4 points in his last 5 games, and I`m really happy about him in consider we don`t have a very strong team after we moved both Kevin Hayes and Mats Zuccarello. And after TDL I thought he is one of the few players who took his opportunity and some responsibility to show that he is a very talented player with a positive impact and contribution so far.
He scored last night a beauty and I`m happy for him and he is one of my favourite Rangers players since he also care about fans and kids on and off the ice in warm ups! :)

He's been really good in the second half. Quinn's given Buch and DeAngelo tough love all season long and it took a bit of time but of all our younger guys those two have made the greatest strides in the second half and look like they are going to be key players for us next year.

I like the shooting Buchnevich a lot more than I like the passing Buchnevich. Get to those goal scoring areas and don't be shy about putting the puck on goal. We have too many guys who make the extra pass as it is.

His shot isn't amazing but he's been really good picking up the garbage and that's a great sign for someone who is supposed to be a finesse player.

The big difference is he's playing with a mean streak now.

He's not playing with a mean streak really. He's just not getting pushed around. I don't expect Pavel to be knocking players over all the time--he should hit when the hits are there and he should take hits to make plays and go into traffic areas and go to the net---most goals are scored from 15-20 feet away and in. Got to get to those areas if you're going to score goals and he has been doing all that.

I think the coaching staff likes him quite a lot. They just had to break him of a couple bad habits and get him fully involved in the give and take. That's when the talent he has can really start to show. Players aren't as effective on the periphery of the action. Got to get into the middle of it--pick your spots if necessary--yesterday was a good example of that--picked up the garbage off of some chaos in front of the net and stuck it in. If he wasn't around the net it wouldn't have happened.
