If this is the "clean hit" you are referring too. Clean as they come and refs/linesman get in the way all the time

Absolutely, and had it ended with that, the narrative would have been that Lindgren and the Rangers got punked, and Pasta got the last laugh after taking a number from the previous meeting.

Instead he went for another, went too far, got himself ejected—and then his team lost in OT where they really could have used him.

Just so, so dumb.

Was trying to hurt Lindgren all game, kind of crazy to see from him
His first hit was 1000000% clean.

Lindgren needs to realize he's in the NHL and has to keep his head up/stop putting him in spots to get laid out.

(This is about the first hit/trying to hurt him lol)

Boarding was def a boarding and the right call. Not sure if he'll get a game or not. Who knows where the wheel will land.

Disagree that Lindgren "spun into it" when his numbers were facing Pastrnak the whole time.

Whether or not you think he deserves a suspension, DoPS uses a scale where bigger name players won't get a suspension if the offense was committed on a smaller name player - I don't expect to see one.

I don't even feel comfortable saying whether or not he deserves a suspension considering how inconsistently they enforce the rules, we can't even use a reliable standard as a reference point. Hope Lindgren is okay though.

somehow this is seeing the numbers all the way now.

I woke up the following morning hoping we wouldn't be talking about this anymore and the thread would be relegated to page 2.

Ah, well. That's on me, I guess.

It’s the type of hit I want to see out of the game. But the incongruous way the refs and league deal with boarding/charging/player safety/etc., is extremely frustrating.
Yeah in my mind this a clear cut suspension but also thought the Cousins hit was as well and it’s apparently just a minor so really who knows

The premeditated part got removed from my title but there’s important context missing here, this was the second massive run Pasta took at Lindgren tonight; and they had a history from last game. So it was very much intentional

So Lingren can run guys over but can’t get hit back, or it’s intentional and targeting?

It’s hockey, that’s how it’s always worked.

never said this hit was dirty. Just accentuated that Pasta been head hunting. Play stupid games win stupid prizes 🤷
"PS he's been targeting Lindy the whole game, including pushing him into a zebra in one episode."

This is what I responded too. As I said refs/linesman get in the way a ton. That was a hit not a push.

I didn't say the hit wasn't clean, I said he was trying to hurt him. The two don't have to co-exist. Or does Pastrnak usually go after players with several big hits in a single game? That's not something I've seen him do before.
