It took every bit of restraint from me 5 yrs ago when were went to Van for a game. Fans behind swearing and talking shit around my at that time 7yr old son. It was really bad. I just chose to ignore and explained to my son what was going on and what the outcome could be if I decided to retalitate.
Not an easy thing to do most of the time.

I've noticed a massive surge in rage and anxiety ever since the pandemic started. You can see it everywhere (in my opinion, especially on the roads).

And as the world falls apart in general- nothing is affordable, climate change is gonna increasingly cause problems, tiktok is a thing- in all seriousness, we just seem much more fractured/distant as a people. Add in alcohol and bright colors that signify someone is different from us, and we lose what little capacity for speech and reason we had.

IDK if there’s more reporting of these or more fan fights actually more happening. Didn’t a Brawl at Jets Alvs game happen recently too ?

Fighting on the ice has decreased under Bettman but fighting in the stands has increased. I love it.

Perhaps he took a page from linesman school and was waiting for the punching to stop? That's what it reminded me of - just standing there, waiting for people to wind up in a clinch or on the ground.
Lol used to have a science teacher who’s theory was the winner went to the principals office. Loser had had enough already. He’d wait until a decision was made

Just another example of why the west should follow this year's world cup policy of no alcohol in stadiums.
