I have the recognition to understand fighting over a meaningless hockey game is pathetic and dumb, all you have to do is walk away and ignore it. Still.... doesn't fail to entertain seeing dumb, drunk morons getting into it over something so trivial.

And then one considers that sometimes literally thousands of fans violently riot at a game ....... of soccer.

EDIT: Also want to point out that all of the original combatants got arrested EXCEPT the blonde guy in the tan jacket. He got lucky.

I have been to a lot of away games to watch the Jackets and sometimes it's not enjoyable because people are barking at us. I just want to watch a game, but my God a small percentage just want to talk shit.
No idea who starting this situation (probably both are at fault), but from my experience this all starts when fans identify too closely with a team and lose perspective. Oh and there is this other thing called alcohol.

Don’t be a dick in someone’s else’s house. People think it’s ok to come in and be assholes, then act surprised when it leads to that.

It’s dumb, but I’ve come close before as fans have poured beer on friends’ heads unprovoked, screamed in a kid’s face, or just think it’s ok to get in your face after a goal or whatever. I don’t know you, neither do any of my friends.

Closest I ever got was the guy who screamed in the face of my buddy’s kid. She was 5, left us alone, but yelled at her..I ran up and shoved him down, then remembered my wife saying she’d leave me in jail if I got arrested for fighting so I could think about what I did lol. Seemed the guy realized he was out of line and went away. (Was in the concourse, think he thought he’d make his friends laugh, they didn’t)

It took every bit of restraint from me 5 yrs ago when were went to Van for a game. Fans behind swearing and talking shit around my at that time 7yr old son. It was really bad. I just chose to ignore and explained to my son what was going on and what the outcome could be if I decided to retalitate.
