It's not so much the list of injures but the seriousness of the injury, reading St Lou boards they are saying that since his back injury in 2021 he has not been the same elite two way defender. I never really though of him as a two way defender, more a big body that plays top matchups really well.

Yep, plus he plays his position defensively. He's lucky to not have been injured more. If blues are on board and Parayko wants to I'm all for getting him.so he's missed 5+ games due to injury only twice in his 9 year career. once was 7 games. the other 21 other then those 2 injuries he's missed one game here one game there type of thing?
altogether he's missed 44 games in his 9 year career? can't believe Injuries are even brought up.
most logical guy to obtain so of course it won't happen..........peeke looked good yesterday plus 2 and was top 4 in ice time thru 40 minutes we gotta rescue that guy and send off brodie no physicality
Maybe taking a flyer on 6'6 dmen should have been in the works in the past rather than focusing on 5'10 Euros who'll never play in the NHL??Ouch. What could have been !
And that D will be ready in 2030.
They have some though they have been depleted. Not sure why so many people can’t comprehend that this isn’t fantasy hockey or an NHL’24 video game.
You absolutely CANNOT continue to give up draft picks and prospects for players in their 30’s with long term deals of $5M to $11M.
That asinine approach is why the Leafs are stuck with washed up TJ Brodie and John Tavares and have ZERO cap room and ZERO draft picks or prospects.
Even worse. It is 23M over 5 years. 4.6 is the AAV.Looks like Dubas is not the only big payday GM, Sandin just signed for $4.6 mil over 5 years... HOLY SWEET F###
You mean like Nicolas Mattinen, Keaton Middleton, Fyodor Gordeyev and Eemeli Rasanen?Maybe taking a flyer on 6'6 dmen should have been in the works in the past rather than focusing on 5'10 Euros who'll never play in the NHL??
Bye bye LilyIt's alot and maybe was best leafs did trade him. No offense to him but that's a lot of money.
Tyler "the mofo" Biggs. You mean like Nicolas Mattinen, Keaton Middleton, Fyodor Gordeyev and Eemeli Rasanen?
Also, were not the oldest team in the league. We have what 5-6 players over 30 or something. Some are barely over 30. Reeves and Giordano have to be in there upper 30s. Gio is hurt with a concussion and Reeves mostly plays on 4th line. We are definitely not the youngest team but we're close to middle of the pack by age.
Iand agreement with Parayko that the last 3 years of his contract, he would likely need to be OK with going on Robidas Island (LTIR).
or 34 year old Tanev. And I want Tanev.I mean Parayko at 6.5 might be better than signing Pesce to a 7 mill plus deal this off season IMO
He would need to be injured to go on LTIR, it’s not something negotiatedI would not give up much for Parayko. First, STL would need to retain salary and agreement with Parayko that the last 3 years of his contract, he would likely need to be OK with going on Robidas Island (LTIR).

Not sure . I think the two best RD the Leafs have drafted (and kept for a while) are Jim McKenny (3rd round in '63) and Ian White (6th round in '02).I think the better question is, is it possible for one to DRAFT a Parayko?
If you're counting White, you might as well include Schenn tooNot sure . I think the two best RD the Leafs have drafted (and kept for a while) are Jim McKenny (3rd round in '63) and Ian White (6th round in '02).
