This team really really really needs to consider being a counterattack team. They just have such terrible gap control and give up so many high quality chances off rushes. Their best players are terrible on the forecheck save a few. I think counterattacking team or at least a team that learns how to remove the gap between D and the forwards would be a much more successful team. You could just see all the good opportunities they were getting off of turnovers. We'd be deadly.

That said -- we scored a goal off a rebound tonight. Finally. Kreider's goal. It's a big part of success for most NHL teams. And the fact that we don't ever score off rebounds is a huge red flag amongst many other.

Happy we won. But not remotely satisfied with the way we play.

There's no way Shesterkin is the #1 star after that third goal that was f***ing pathetic. I don't care how many saves he made. That third goal was a choke job by him. He obviously played well but you don't give a guy a #1 star when he gives up that third goal. He almost blew this game.
Take it easy he made 42 saves.

What seems to be forgotten is this team is still trying to figure things out with a new coach and system, has played 9 of 13 on the road, has had very little time to practice, and has not yet iced a complete lineup. They have a ton to work on and 5 days off will help. They just beat the best team in the league coming home from a western road trip which is often a stinker for many teams. They have played the most games in the league and most of them on the road and are 7-3-3. That's actually a good thing.

I mean they were playing their best controlling the neutral zone.

I wouldn't be surprised if he lost focus after that long whistle. Lost his cool

I am annoyed how Shesty was ran twice this game. I don’t care if it’s our fault he got ran you need to take exception to that. Not to mention Hornqvist all in his grill the entire game. Shesty was clearly frustrated with the team after the game and rightfully so

just get surgery like a real man

Seriously. The negativity on here is unbearable. I don’t even bother coming anymore if the team doesn’t win. Even when they do win against an undefeated team no less everyone has something to whine about
don't leave. I'll lose it
