I think the bigger concern is some of the defensive lapses from team in general, but what you're describing, especially on the fifth goal, are signs that Chenard is not 100% healthy. He did not look comfortable most of the night and there were some tells in his body language that suggested he's struggling with a few movements.
I know he's been injured a while, but I'm surprised the coach gave him both nights of a back to back. Hopefully he doesn't get hurt long term.
And unrelated to the post I quoted, but boy did it sting a bit watching Hislop come right in and log big minutes for North Bay alongside Ty Nelson. Sawyer is a totally fine player and I'm glad the Attack have him, but we had that steady 2003 born defender at our training camp last year and could have had him for free. My worry being that DeGray has overpaid for guys he really likes in the past and it has shrunk the size of the cupboard when the team really needed it. Something I'll be watching at the deadline and beyond.
I suppose hindsight is 20/20.
Hyslop looked great. Last year was (hopefully) a one off, with two draft classes to choose from .
I like all 4 dmen they ended up with .
Good on Dale finding a place in the O for him .
The boys didn't have the jump last night to start and it showed.
I agree, Nick is not in mid season form, but he will be . Just back after almost a month off.
Missing Sawyer, Steen and Bryant is showing .
And once Petrovski gets in some practice time he will be fine .
Hes a big body and what I recall from him in last years playoffs, a tough guy to play against.
A bit of an odd week , to Windsor Wednesday, then home and home against the suddenly woke up Gurlph Storm .
