Much appreciation for your help. Was a big Garrett Wilson fan when he played for the Cincinnati Cyclones. Am looking forward to seeing your city and arena.
Welcome in advance to Owen Sound. We here all understand how you were a Garrett Wilson fan. He was a fan favorite here and will always be a very highly regarded Attacker.Much appreciation for your help. Was a big Garrett Wilson fan when he played for the Cincinnati Cyclones. I hope the refereeing crew got a good dressing down after this one.So Kulakov gets 6 gms I'm not an anti fighter in fact I kinda enjoy a good tilt but that B.S should not be in the game. In my opinion the suspension should have been 4-6 gms longer.
I think the real question will be IF and When he decides to play in the trade pool or if he thinks that he's already made his moves in Teddy, and Papai.Lots of trade activity this week with some big pieces on the move. Trade season is starting earlier than normal. Wonder how long DeGray waits to pull the trigger on something he's comfortable with?
I don't think he's done personally so I would lean towards the "when" rather than the "if" scenario. I have to think they take a look at an upgrade on D. I like the Sawyer pick up but with him out for awhile the core is a little thin for my liking. Goaltending is solid with Chenard's return on the horizon. Forward group is pretty solid though I wouldn't be against a depth piece depending on how much longer Bryant is out for. Just my two cents.I think the real question will be IF and When he decides to play in the trade pool or if he thinks that he's already made his moves in Teddy, and Papai.
I certainly wouldn't say that it's out of the realm of possibilities for him to make a move, but really the question we ask ourselves is would he? And if so how soon?

As much as I would love to see what a healthy roster looks like, I think it's unlikely over the course of a full season. 68 games is a grind and injuries happen. We have 3D I think you could say are top 4 quality right now with the rest being 5/6/7 types currently. Grabbing another top 4 D would be a big help, especially with Sawyer out. If they want to take a run this year I think it's something they need to address. I think you'd be pretty happy with the rest of the roster without any tweaks.Ricky will be back this weekend.
FWIW, on the team's 25 man roster, 11 or 12 players have missed games or are still out .
1 player was injured pre season and has yet to suit up.
The Attack has yet to have a full squad available, and I think there has only been 1 or 2 games they have dressed 12 forwards and 6 defenceman in a game .
It may well be Christmas or later before we have a full healthy lineup.
I think if you target 2004s you could hedge a bit in bringing players that help this season and next. I don't think we necessarily need to target top tier guys. I would love a second pair D man and a third line forward option.I guess it really all depends if he thinks we are better off going for it all this season or waiting until next year. Seems like the Western conference is really up for grabs this year, Windsor is good, and Sarnia just added a solid goal scorer to help boost them. London is always scary and Kitchener should be decent now with Mesar in the lineup. I feel like if we are top 3 in the Western Conference by Xmas time they should really try and go for it all this season, they can always trade players next year to recoup some picks back and still be competitive again. No real clear cut favourite in the conference go try and win it all in my opinion.
I have wanted a shutdown solid d man since before training camp and my mind hasn't changed. The 3rd line fwd would also be nice if affordable. That will be the big thing is price. What is the cost of adding anyone. If your not upgrading than it's a waste of assets.I think if you target 2004s you could hedge a bit in bringing players that help this season and next. We project to return 5 pretty good OA players next year and should recoup a bit of the asset cost used this season.
I'd like to see them try and maybe pick up a 2004 forward who's maybe off to a slow start, buy low, and then work them into a lower part of the line up to rehabilitate the player so to speak. Make a bet on upside. I think the team is deep enough that you could sort of shelter a player who is maybe playing higher up the line up on another team and struggling a bit, shift them to a third line role where they don't get the top defensive focus and breathe a bit. Could pay off next season and likely won't cost a fortune. I don't think you have to hunt big game when the roster already has weapons like Barlow, Goure and Guindon with depth like Petrovsky, Lawrence, Burroughs and Papais.I have wanted a shutdown solid d man since before training camp and my mind hasn't changed. Digger has a history of finding guys flying under the radar who thrive in Snowen SoundI'd like to see them try and maybe pick up a 2004 forward who's maybe off to a slow start, buy low, and then work them into a lower part of the line up to rehabilitate the player so to speak. I totally agree and thats what I meant with the price comment. I don't even this far into the season see having to pay big for my d man if Dale can find the right guys.I'd like to see them try and maybe pick up a 2004 forward who's maybe off to a slow start, buy low, and then work them into a lower part of the line up to rehabilitate the player so to speak. Not at all somebody I would have expected to be available but really like the add. Price tag is fairly reasonable considering he's an 05 coming off a pretty good rookie season. I would think he'll have a chance to pick up a lot of minutes with Sawyer out. I would love to see them split up Sedley and Seed as I don't think either of them are particularly strong in their own zone. I liked the Sedley Sawyer pair and if Petrovski can slot in with Seed on the second pair you could have Steen with Uens as your 5/6 pair.Thought Petrovski was excellent for Flint last season in our playoff matchup. Very excited to be getting him (not just because we now have two Petrosvkys), but as a big 05 defender with upside.
Perfect trade for the Attack both short and long term and the price is really reasonable.
This is a perfect add in my mind. An 05 who I thought was a very good d man last year for Flint. Agreed DD definitely addressed concerns about the blue-line in the move. This is a perfect add in my mind. An 05 who I thought was a very good d man last year for Flint. Price is very reasonable in my opinion.
Maybe even 3 years. I hope James rips it up in OS. Sucks to see him go but he landed in a great spot and Flint needed the picks and to clear a little space on the blueline. He gained a lot of experience last season and has added a little more offensive confidence to his game this year.Agreed DD definitely addressed concerns about the blue-line in the move.
Plus it adds a piece that could be here for 2 more seasons on the blue-line.
This is a bit of a head scratcher for me. That's actually a lot of picks for that player IMO and have to ask why would Flint be giving up on an 05 player? I would also like to see them split up Sedley and Seed but can't see them pairing lefties and righties together as your scenario suggests Stellar. Also, there is no way Petrovski automatically steps into top 2 pairing. He is not necessarily an upgrade to the current D. This has to be more about long term as we will likely lose three left D next year. Also don't like that this means another D will be scratched each night if/when all are healthy unless further deals are in the works. Now have 9 D rostered. If they were all healthy right now I would say this is how things should look; Not at all somebody I would have expected to be available but really like the add.
