With Burroughs missing the game last night with illness I really liked the coaching staff's decision to elevate the rookies into more prominent roles. Cormier was engaged physically all night and Tersigni was a puck hound. Also loved how Rogers went after Humphrey for hitting Chenard, I'm sure that was pretty popular in the dressing room.

Great to see Hookey and Petrovsky get on the score sheet. Both of them really needed a night like that.

I thought the young guys all played an effective game. Hookey looked very effective patrolling the wing with Colby and Ceddy

Young guys played ok, I think come playoff time Stewart will take their minutes. Don't think they are suited for it yet.

I think they benefit from playing with Hookey too as they get more room to work their skill game with him driving the middle of the ice and pulling in defenders. Hookey has skills that if they want to focus on Guindon or Barlow that they can dish to him to make something happen. That high low play to Hookey on Saturday where he took it hard to the net was great.

Its funny, all the noise about what the Attack 'did not do', but Hookey has been as productive as a lot of the other 'big name' acquisitions.

It's turned into a great trade for the team, especially once you factor in the acquisition cost to get him. I think he's going to be a big piece for them next year too.

I agree and that game just makes me more curious. I always wonder you have a Hookey who has size, uses it is a good skater and has pretty decent hands but is kinda labeled as bottom 6. What happens if he gets to play with the top 6 guys I think many times they can be very effective and bring a whole new dimension to whatever line they play on.

Not sure what our goaltending situation is going to look like this weekend. The Attack play Friday, Saturday and Sunday and looking at the GOJHL playoff schedule for St Marys I'm not sure what George's availability is going to be. The only "free" day in the schedule would be the Sunday game at home to Barrie. I have to imagine George backs up St Marys Friday/Saturday and is unavailable for the Attack. Could be Chenard plays all three games of the 3 in 3 weekend.

London Nationals schedule is listed below. I'm curious if Luddington joins the Attack at the conclusion of their playoff run. Could be something to watch for. London and St Marys are expected to meet in the second round of the playoffs.

Ludington had an assist on the winning goal for London in OT last night,as London won game 1 vs St Thomas 3-2.

I've been saying that since the deadline. I'm hoping they leave Hookey with Barlow,Guindon for at least a few more games and see what he can do. He certainly adds a dimension to that line. I'm a big fan of his play and as has been noted the cost of acquisition is almost laughable I wasn't a big fan of the Fantino consistency or lack there of.

The only one they got was called back and kinda turned the tide in the game a bit because it was followed up directly by a penalty from our captain the next face-off unfortunately.. The team did have some nice chances but Kitch did well after the first period keeping shots out of high scoring areas. Many shots from the side wall above the circles on a rush or with no one in front, and weak shots down near the goal line. There were a few tough ones but not enough. Petrovsky had a beauty shot that got deflected high late by the goalie and Tersigni actually had a few nice ones through out the game with a beauty chance in the last minute or so but no dice.

Need to get way better defence and goaltending. Barlow can't carry the offence by himself, a few of the other big guns need to get it going. Coaches need to decide whether or not Sedley is a defence man or forward. Wingers must be tired of ending up playing defence every other shift.

I watched the game after we got punded yesterday by Saginaw. I see Stewart sitting on the bench??? I know he took a couple undisciplined penaltuies against London and a fight against Hamoilton, but why would you guys trade for him and sit him. He is one of the hardest workers out there. Anyway, if I had Hookey and him on the same team I would have them forechecking the opposition D all game. It looks like you guys trap every single time?? Odd

Unfortunately the trap is the system the coach seems to have in place. Some times it works some times it doesnt, its brutal to watch. I wish they would crash and bang more as well but it doesnt seem to be the set up they have.
