The coaching staff has definitely been working with Stewart. The differences I've picked up on since his arrival to Owen Sound are that he seems to be playing with more structure and control. He ran around a bit early on and got into trouble with penalties. He's done a nice job reigning it in and picking his spots better. He's still running over a few guys every game but doesn't put himself in a bad spot positionally. I think he's made positive strides so far, personally.
Great to hear. I've seen that too. Got no instruction here in Kingston from coaches. Did what he thought he could to help us. I as you can see am a big fan. I would love to see that hookey lawrence stewart line be a physical force of a line.

Kitchener Rangers fan coming to tell you guys that you have one hell of a goalie. His stats look great with limited playing time but that performance from a 16 year old rookie is super impressive. He will be one dominant goalie for years to come for you. Congrats on the win.

Time to cheer for EVERY TEAM that plays St. Mary's for the rest of the year!!
I was worried about giving him too much too soon but the kid is built different. As a former goalie I have so much appreciation for how good he is already. He's incredibly calm in the net and tracks the puck exceptionally well. His rebound control is very advanced for his age and he's an elite puck handler. He's a hell of a draft pick by the Attack. It's exciting to think about how high his ceiling is as a player. I think you play him as much as you can when he's available.

We are so excited for Carter George. He will fit into our plans next season as a full time member of the team .

He's just 16.

The team needed that one tonight.

Taking out how they had to get it done, the guys really needed to get out of that funk they were in and an OT win was just what they needed. Hopefully they can build off some of that momentum and take it into another tought tilt against the Knights on home ice tomorrow.

Thanks. George was outstanding last night. The Rangers out played our team in every way. I think if George wasn't in net, it would've been another blow out. We only won as it appeared the rangers had a bad line change in the OT. We'll take the win as we sure needed to get out of this slump.

Any chance George gets back to back starts? I'm looking forward to seeing him start... could very well be the next in a long line of good goalies coming out of Attack land.

I was also worried about overloading him but yes he's built different. Listen to him talk in interviews he is very confident. I worked with a guy from N Ontario and I can hear him now It's because he's a good northern ontario boy and who knows all those flights to T.O to get peppered in the GTHL may be the training he needed. Last night was out of this world I think without him it's another blowout loss.

I would think there's a pretty good chance he goes again tonight. The coaching staff has said he gives them the best chance to win right now. The only issue is he's at 7 games now and can only play 3 more before St Mary's season ends. Tonight would be game 8 and he'll be in line for a game next weekend with 3 games in 3 days so running out of availability. I'd still start him tonight personally.

Doubt he commutes from St. Mary's to Owen Sound only to go back for a game tomorrow. Next week playoffs start in GOJHL and Owen Sound will respect the St. Mary's staff.
