We can rag on Timmins all we want because a lot of it is warranted with his track record. But we are enjoying a lot of his picks from recent drafts right now.

The drafting definitely improved from 2016 on. Trading our seconds in 2016 and missing in 2017 and with KK hurt though. I didn't want Tkachuk in 2018, but truth is he'd be fantastic with Suzuki and Caufield.

We probably wouldn't have Slafkovsky if we drafted Tkatchuk or Quinn so I'm okay with the outcome.

Beck is the kind of guy we could bring in the NHL next year and he will don’t be out of place on a 3rd line. However. He still can play and learn in the OHL. And on his D3, he is gonna play in the NHL and is gonna have already a big role into the team. Same path like Guhle does this year. Everybody were shocked Guhle didnt play in the AHL. I wasnt. I remember last pre season, Guhle was one of the best dman, but an injury happened and been sent down in the OHL. In fact, those player are too much dominant to play at junior level on their D2.

I agree. Let them dominate offensively in the OHL and go deep in the playoffs. We've had some players over the years who had long runs like that and clearly benefitted. Guhle, Suzuki and Xhekaj all did that in recent years.

So true.
It's crazy how it went from zero to that great results from his last 3 drafts . Honestly, the Timmins/Bergevin heritage is interesting. A lot of fans think that the rebuild will be very long but forget that the work started with the reset of Bergevin ; he didn't get first round selection, but 2nd and 3rd rounds and Timmins did a great job with the candies he received
