You read my mind…and it was the team’s second empty netter of the evening as well. I partially blame Torts. When I saw the 6-3 score I literally thought to myself that one could bet a month's salary that Ovie will have one goal and it would be #6 as an empty netter. And sure enough...
Gretz has more goals.OV is the greatest player ever cause goals are the only thing that matter.
People who don’t understand that there are more assists than goals in a game don’t understand the value of goals.
As OV climbs toward 895 we should be on alert for serious debates about a ‘big 5’
Did I miss anything fam?
Is there anything better then to crush your enemies, see them driven before you and read the lamentation of Ovi haters the next day on HF.You read my mind…and it was the team’s second empty netter of the evening as well. I partially blame Torts.
If OV's at 20g at halfway thru RS
it's probably happening this season
I doubt it as well.Would be a historic season. Nobody scored 40 goals at age 39 before. I wouldn't put it past him to be the first, but I highly doubt it.
You'd have to think it's basically a lock. IDK if Vegas has odds on it, but if I were making the line I'd probly put it around -800. So bet $800 to only win $100 if he breaks it. Maybe even -1000
Still think he could get there this year. Most realistic is he scores like, 31 goals this year and breaks it by Thanksgiving next year.
Seems like a lock, but you never know. I can't remember if there was much discussion at the end of Gretzky's career about if he could get to "x" goals or "y" points, but a lot of that could be due to lack of internet....internet existed course, but not like it is today. I mean, at the end of the 1998 season, he was 37 years old and just put up 90pts (3rd in league scoring)......you wouldn't figure he'd retire very soon....still pretty productive to say the least. At that time he was sitting at 885 goals....what chances would you put on him not getting to 900 goals before the end of his career? You'd have to think it's basically a lock. IDK if Vegas has odds on it, but if I were making the line I'd probly put it around -800. So bet $800 to only win $100 if he breaks it. Maybe even -1000

There is no such thing as a guarantee when it comes to sports and life in general. He's almost guaranteed to break the record no?
Gretz still is. Although OV is hobbling along nicely and should go creaking by Wayne some time in 2026.Is there anything better then to crush your enemies, see them driven before you and read the lamentation of Ovi haters the next day on HF.
2 empty netters with old man Ovi tapping in the second empty netter of the night is the ultimate french kiss of FU we won.
Hes the ultimate closer
He's almost guaranteed to break the record no?
BetterI haven't watched any Capitals game this season...
- How does Ovi looks like on ice?
- What's his skating look like?
- Did he got worse than last year?
