6 SOG and 6 hits is a good sign
41 G needed in 164 games, 1 goal every 4 games...
The math guy in me says that's a perfect 100 percent.700/700 for Ovechkin.
The ugliest one was probably the one he scored against Phoenix where a Coyote player scored on his own net, and Ovi was simply the last Cap to touch the puck before that.Ugliest goal of his career but it brings him 1 closer. They all count the same

Coincidentally, he scored THE goal in the very same game.
I hope so.That’s true, I totally forgot about that one!
Are you saying the next goal could be a highlight reel goal?
One relatively obscure milestone Ovechkin could achieve in 2024 - he's 34 ES points away from becoming only the 10th player in NHL history to reach 1,000 ES points.
He's also 20 primary points away from becoming the 9th player in NHL history to reach 1,300 primary points.
One more obscure stat - Ovechkin now ranks 8th all-time with 816 ES primary points. (Only ten players in NHL history have 800 ES primary points - McDavid will presumably get there at some point in the early to mid 2030's).

Agreed. It's one of those goals that is very hard to replicate too.Still the greatest goal ever scored IMO. Wasn't a Cup winning goal, but I'm still in awe every time i see it.
