Do not understand above post. It says OV is longest-tenured DC athlete and right after that lists two guys with 20 and 21 seasons?
not according to GretzkyNo one's denying that Bossy is a great goalscorer. You're not really engaging with what I'm saying.
Bossy is a great scorer in the same way Stamkos and Iginla are great goal scorers. But not in the same way Gretzky, Ovechkin and Lemieux are great goal scorers.
It's that simple.
He scored 7 goals in first 2 regular season games and then won the SC.
Gretzky's opinion of other players should be taken with a grain of salt.not according to Gretzky
I don't understand why any teams have to wait for their first game until 3 days after the season opener, after some teams have even played twice.Season starts Friday night

Alex Ovechkin's next goal will make him hockey's greatest (era-adjusted) scorer | TSN
Considering the NHL’s ever-shifting scoring climate, it’s Alex Ovechkin’s next goal that should bring hockey immortality. Forget 894. His first goal of the year will give him 925 era-adjusted goals, tying Gordie Howe – not Wayne Gretzky – atop the all-time list.www.tsn.ca

Off topic, but I was recently looking at an investor presentation for a public-traded company. The PDF was full of slides like this - where the company's performance, for a bunch of financial metrics, was slightly better than their peer group. But the graphs were scaled in such a way that it looked like they had by far the better results.I love when people manipulate charts to exaggerate differences by not setting the graph's floor to 0:

LOOK HOW DIFFERENT IT WAS!
This is one of the first things I teach about in my data visualization courses.

I chose not to invest. It told me that either the company was run by people who didn't understand basic data analysis, or more problematically, they understood it and were actively trying to deceive current/prospective investors. Either way, there are plenty of other options to choose from.
Fie sure. Same with we fans on HFBGretzky's opinion of other players should be taken with a grain of salt.
