Just on the new guys. Edstrom and Rempe definitely gave our bottom line a whole new look. Still not sure that Rempe is quite ready to take regular minutes but he is an attention getter. When you look at playoffs.....the short game, battles along walls and in corners are a thing that over the course of a series you try if you can to wear your opponents down. Wrestling and bumping around with these two monsters could become a real problem for other teams.

Rempe is also going to be a problem I think for the tougher guys in the league. Keeping in mind he's not that experienced and in the future he should get even better but he's held his own against many of the toughest guys in the AHL and that league has more guys like that than the NHL. Martin who is cagy tried to keep as close in here to Rempe as possible because if Matthew held him out at length he'd had been a sitting duck. Rempe has enormous reach.

I miss Doc

ESPN has a better option in house with Wischusen. Great big moment announcer.
I hated Doc when he was the replacement for Gary Thorne, I always thought he was too high pitched and nasally, but in retrospect he was a fine technical announcer and he could still bring some excitement. The Stepan in overtime call was one of the best of the decade. I have no idea how ESPN can’t find exciting announcers. They can get exciting basketball announcers, no one can do better than this with hockey? Wischusen is better, I agree, but still not great.

Rempe will probably get another game or 2 but if it were up to me I'd send him down, call up Berard and drop Vesey back to the 4th line.

It's alot to ask a rookie to handle that spot but I don't think theres anyone else in the organization better equipped to do it. We may need to venture outside to find a fit but better to see if you already have a fit in house before doing that.

Vesey-Edstrom can do some damage from line 4. Goodrow sucks but the other 2 are good players.
