I think the biggest takeaway from this game is that Rempe is a psycho for not wearing an undershirt or any kind of thermals under the pads.

He really did just go with only the jersey and padding for an outdoor game.

Panarin joked about it being like summer in Russia, I’m sure the Calgary kid can relate.

That Binks girl said it was a pretty major gash on his face with swelling as he was heading off. Based on that probably a new scar after some stitches. Might miss a game at most if I’m guessing but maybe not even that knowing Lindy.

Let Lindgren heal his many ailments for a few weeks. Get Jones in some games. It would continue a theme of the team trying to fix problems in house.

What's Lindgren's status? If he is out long, that's probably best. The excess fat slowly continues to be trimmed off. I'm more confident in Fox-Gus and Schneider-Jones, that's where we are with Lindgren.

The defense plays soft/passive as it is. May as well let Jones provide some offense and passing ability.

Doc was the best, it boggles the mind howpeople disliked him. Best national tv announcer in this era. Bob is great as well, he should be the top guy For ESPN.

Always hated Doc, he was a Devils guy. But I do miss his calls now compared to most of these clowns, Even weird Pierre McGuire was always so cringe you couldn't look away.

Any old farts like me remember a similar game against the Islanders in 2015 when I believe they were down 5-3 in the third and ended up winning 6-5 in regulation. I actually missed that game but I think it had similar cadence.

They should allow Sam and Joe to do an overdub of the game and release their version for replay. McDonough did not deserve to call this game.

Can you imagine Sam calling the pair of late PPGs? Can you imagine Joe going off on the team at 4-1?

Panarin was really heads up and aggressive on that forecheck in OT, it wasn’t just a terrible turnover by Dobson he probably wasn’t expecting Panarin to come in so aggressively. And the patience staying with it there, great goal

Like, i know Lavi is a great guy and letting Rempe having a great outdoors game experience is totally classy but this plus Edstrom being up in the last 10 days or so is 10000000% a move Drury made in preparation for this game because of Dolan. After the national embarrassment at the hands of Quinn against Tom Wilson (and getting shutout and bullied by the Islanders before the Caps games that supposedly started the clean house process), Drury knows getting physically bullied by the Islanders is Dolan's flip out switch. Wheeler getting retired just added both Edstrom plus Rempe. If I had to guess, had Wheeler been healthy, Edstrom would have sat for Rempe.
