Hard to say with the goalies in these kinds of games. The lighting or the sun.....from a fans perspective you just don't know if that was a factor. Of the goals Igor gave up the Horvat seemed the most stoppable. The others Nelson in the slot (and he's dangerous) Barzal's was a hell of a deflection, Lee's might have been too though it was from a ways out and Romanov scored on a broken play. Apart from the Horvat though the others weren't really bad. He did seem shaky though in the first.

Anyhow we still came back and won....even though the Islanders came away with a point losing for them had to f***ing hurt because halfway through the game they must have thought it was in the bag. Well hey sucks to be them. Nice play by Dobson at the end. Artemi and the Rangers fanbase can only thank him for that.
I think he couldn’t see at all in the first period, Horvat goal was bad. I don’t really really care either way, NYR got completely ass blasted at 5v5 for 3 periods

Lindgren’s new ironic nickname is “Lucky”.
Lucky Lindy
It’s like the universe is telling him to change jobs.
I really love Lindgren, but he is the Ryan Callahan of defensemen. He is all heart but he's small and he takes an absolute beating every night. I am not confident in his ability to have a long career. You get North of 30 and You start to feel the cumulative effect of your youth.

that was the "you can't beat us" game i think

The first time I heard that chant was in 2004 when we went 6-0 against them. Did they bring it back that game or are you confusing games?

He also drew one that lead to him assisting on the tying goal so…

Not ragging on Laf just showing the game wasn't as lopsided as it seems.

One thing I will say is that as bad as most of this game was, we win this game in regulation without ever being down big if Laf doesn't take a dumb penalty that not only negated our PP but saw us give up two goals 4 on 4 and shorthanded. Could have been a friggin 3 goal difference was definitely a 2 goal difference.
How anyone can come out of that game bashing Laf is unfathomable. 2 points, only NYR skater with an xGF%>50, amazing pass on game tying goal and literally drew a penalty to make up for it. You’re in the clouds

It's also the perspective. Going from MSG to MetLife Stadium is I'd have to believe seriously disorienting. He'd probably need at least a week of work just to get used to the sightlines.

I think you're in the clouds if you think I was bashing him. I was putting the game in perspective. I was trying to show it wasn't some game we got absolutely dominated in despite what it looked like for a while.

I hate to have to tell you this but a stick to the eye feels the same at 18 as it does at 30.

I’d prefer Jones in and Trouba out, but eh.

Trouba's been pretty good since the new year.

Lindgren... has not.

I don't think Jones is the answer there either but he'd probably be better.

I hope RL isn't seriously hurt but him being out for a little while would probably be a good thing for the team's on ice performance.

Mika is good on the PP. Hooefully he can kick the Goodrow impression at 5v5 before the playoffs start.

So, the way I look at things is that we're winning now and shesty is far from his usual self. I have to figure that at some point he's going to get on track. If that is in the playoffs, then everybody else needs to watch out.

You really don't see what I am talking about? The guy gets pounded on every night. I am not talking about a high stick.

That's the only thing that took him out of tonight's, and it would have taken any of our players out.
