Yeah, Molson gaining another 25% of the share is definitely the right move for them. Don’t see why he’d need someone’s else money in his position.

25% of the Habs group, how much will that cost when 90% of the Sens sold for 950M ?

That has to be 300M+ us$

Give Laviolette to a roster that apparently tuned out Gallant. Keep up the great work, Chris Drury!
He's actually not a bad fit for NYR

They want result next season and Laviolette usually have great result in his 1st season

Would't be a fit here, for a rebuilding team that want to install a culture but when you want result he's a good coach.

Shocking amount of money for a franchise in debt that can't turn a profit even with a decent team on the ice.

About Andlauer:

It's not 25% but 10% iirc. Habs are worth about 1.85b and they paid 575m to Mr Gillet in 2009.

57.5M in 09 to 185M in 2023. Massive ROI.

Melnyk purchased he Sens for 92M in 2003 and sold for 950M 20 years later. It's not 850M in profit as they carry a debt of ~400M.

Bottom line Molson is looking for new partners I doubt he wants to pay half his purchase price for 10% of the dividends

He’s worth B’s, why would he put himself in a position to lose future revenues (the Habs won’t ever not make money) when he can easily get the required money.

25 % of a big business like that is not that small

He was even implicit in the GM search when they hired Kent Hughes

He would also sit on the board of governors when Molson couldn’t make it.

No small part to lose, as he was heavily implicated part in Ontario.

He will probably have to sell his parts to the owners in place, I doubt we see new group showing up for that 20/25%.

it's fun reading rangers fans go through the 5 stages of grief in their coaching thread. they've managed to pass through denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance in just 10 pages
Which stage will this be?

You can't own two teams. He will be forced to sell.

Caps looking to trade Kuzy. Would be awesome if we can get Ovechkin in 2 years, I remember he said his dream was to play for the Habs if he wasn't with the Caps.

Kanata ,ON

The Florida team was all sorts of banged up, which does go to explain why they ran out of gas in the finals. They really are the Covid bubble Habs version 2.
