Maybe it's an age thing, but the playoffs are just too long, especially when you're team is not playing. The finals feels like it's just dragging. Another two day break in between games.

It feels like a slog.
It always feels pretty sluggish to me at the finish line. Most of the players are banged up and physically spent, it becomes a war of attrition between two teams running mostly on fumes.

Smells bad. Was he involved in the 2018 Canada Junior team incidents in London ? OR Does he have a career impeding injury ?
I'm sure any team looking to add him will do their due dilligence. But given Mailloux situation, I highly doubt Habs have an appetite for more controversy from anyone else.
Likely pass on him and anyone else envolved in that fiasco.

It is strange that it takes so much time to get infos about the players involved in all that.

I might be mistaken, but I think he was one of the players who didn't have an alibi, so I'd avoid him, unless I'm mistaken him for someone else.

Same reason Formenton went overseas.

Batherson didn't because he's a good player, so that potential issue is ok to deal with.

For those who like to fall back to the "it's a revolving door" comment when it comes to GMs and coaches, Calgary naming someone who was never an NHL head coach before. A never-before GM Craig Conroy making the hire.

About a week ago, never-before GM Pat Verbeek named Greg Cronin as Ahaheim's new coach, who was never an NHL head coach before.

Not a big secret but it’s now official

I wonder if anyone will come calling Patrick for a head coaching job. His name was definitely out there a couple of weeks ago but several available positions have filled or are about to be, since then.

I see one fit for him in the NHL: Ottawa

They need a coach like Roy who will get the players accountable and not a friendly coach like DJ Smith and he would be great to help promote the Senateurs, especially for the Outaouais area.

The Vegas Knights are like Raid to the Florida Panthers.

25 % of a big business like that is not that small

He was even implicit in the GM search when they hired Kent Hughes
The Habs are a big prestige name in the province, I'm sure Geoff won't have to look too long to find a new partner. The Molson family has a lot of connection in the big money world.
