Anyone else getting some off-putting vibes from that podium?

Glad to see Leafs fans are still mad..It was 3-1!

Flames apparently offered Lindholm over 72M and....he's thinking about it(!) Looks bleak for the Flames either way.

I was a big fan of Yzerman but not so sure anymore. He's still decent but I'm not sure he ever turns that team into what he had with Tampa. Starting to believe that Brisebois was the one doing all the hard work.
Rebuilds take time. And sometimes you strike out on a top pick like Zedina and it extends the rebuild. Too early to judge Yzerman’s GM tenure in Detroit. It’s a marathon not a sprint.

Yzerman was always going to have a harder time in Det vs TBay - he didn’t have the benefit of geographical location working in his favor (no state tax + beach weather)

He always didnt have the benefit of drafting a 60 goal scorer and a near generational D for free.
Bro there's nothing worse than white socks with flip flop. If i would be a woman and would see my husband (sapphire marriage+) wears white shocks with flip flop I'd divorce him on the spot.
Crocs + whites is the only thing i wear.

It's not over, but I'd stay he has stumbled. The rope is getting tighter.

I would wager that it's far more likely he gets fired sooner than they start really competing. They are in no man's land for the foreseeable future unless a prospect surpasses his potential. That sounds familiar. There's this eery and lingering sentiment that we might be heading in the same direction.

Either that or wearing a fedora :sarcasm:

Fedotov has been *signed* to a 2 year contract in KHL. The KHL had been refusing to allow this contract to register previously because Fedotov has a legitimate NHL contract for next season with Philadelphia Flyers.

The KHL was recognizing that Philadelphia had a legal contract with Fedotov and refused CSKA's extension of him - initially.

They have reversed course, and have allowed the extension to go through.

Bill Daly has already commented that the extension is in violation of his contract with Philadelphia.

We'll see what happens here. The NHL & KHL had an understanding that each would respect the other's contracts. This challenges that agreement.

If a player can get himself out of Russia, NHL may no longer recognize KHL contracts.

What a strange and long journey this has been for Fedotov. The KHL certainly wasn't Fedotov's original league of choice.

If players fear for safety (and their family's safety) for wearing a jersey for 15 minutes once a year, I can't imagine the fear involved if one broke their KHL contract to play in NA.

This might be unpopular but the NHL bullied the hell out of the Russian league and American judges sided with the NHL in the Malkin case. It pretty much ensured there is no incentive to develop youths in the European leagues.

If there is to be a transfer agreement, the KHL will be well-served to renegotiate it while it has some bargaining position.
