Does anyone else feel that the Reinbacher hate mail is overblown bullshit?

No, it's not so much hate mail as it is hate comments on social media. Social media was at one time a cool thing, but bots have taken over, and all the parasites that had no where to take their sociopathic messages now have an outlet.

Social media comments for any athlete, or celebrity is a cess pool of vile & hate.

Reinbacher went private which is the right thing to do.

Hm. It just doesn't seem intuitive to direct hate at the player. But a lot of things people do online don't make sense

Yup. Kid is only 23. So it's not like he's to be thrown away. But so far, things have not worked out for him. And this whole situation, signing a 3-year deal and then wanting out a year later doesn't sound like good judgment.
It signals bad business judgement but not necessarily bad on-ice judgement. I hope his belief in himself turns out well. I would take a chance on him but don't think the Habs will. Mtl is probably not the best place for him either.

Not sure if it was posted already... Former Habs org member Zach Fucale going to the KHL after winning the Calder Cup (as the second goalie)

Real talk.

I hope Chicago fails miserably with their scorched earth approach.

It bothers me that they have traded good, young, useful players with the intention of being bad in the future so they can draft high. They were rewarded with Bedard but as we've seen in Edmonton even the best player in the world can't help a crappy roster.

Sens sign McEwen to a 3 year contract.

Hopefully Habs are looking at Nick Ritchie, or maybe Watson...

Going to be stuck letting Xhekaj fight too much again.
One of the guy I wanted to support Pezz on the 4th line some nights. Habs were unable so far to sign any big, mean players like Viel, Imama, or McEwen. Some nites will be very long vs Ottawa, Boston and Toronto. McEwen and Imama with the Sens + all their other big boys... WOW !

I don't want Nick Ritchie. Austin would be an option....but Hughes got to make space in the line up.

I still don’t get this unless his agent has some contingency worked out with a team that would take some of the sting out of it. That’s a whole lot of cash to forego for a player with so little NHL time, who hasn’t shown anything.

Zadina decision is bold to say the least. He's essentially just thrown away set for life/never work a real job in your life money for the chance to rebound his career. Hope it works out for him.

Marner's not going anywhere. His full not trade clause kicked in July 1st and covers his last 2 years. He also won't leave like Goudreau did. Toronto is his home. He's sign for something ridiculous in 2 years north of 13 mil.
I’d have traded Marner. But the whole GM fiasco came at the worst possible time.

Most wanted Tkachuk
Not on this forum.

Man while Yzerman was a great competitor as a player and i loved the battle between Colorado with Sakic and Detroit with Yzerman but man as a GM it's painful to watch him he's not anywhere near Joe Sakic. DeBrincat will be the next Jeff Skinner. Not a bad player but ...
Yzerman did a pretty damn good job in Tampa.

No, thank you.

I'd rather they give RHP and Ylonen those spots. And I'd actually rather have Hoffman in the line-up before I do Zadina.

Im betting he ends up in Boston on a 1yr 1M$ deal... And has a monster season.
They've got the Czech connection, strong internal culture & opportunity/need for him to play a top 6 role if he wins it at camp.

Would easily take a flyer on him if we could jettison 2 of Hoff/Armia/Ylonen, but without sending some fwds elsewhere, agree that there's no fit.
