There is no point comparing Michkov and Reinbacher. We have no way to know if Michkov would have signed with Montreal. And Habs are building a team not just the the best scorers. That is how you end up the same as the Sabres.

Getting caught up in a vacuum.

The more important question is whether guys like suzuki/caufield/slafkovsky/dach/guhle/demidov/reinbacher can be key peices to a Stanley Cup puzzle.

The chances you will pick the guy who ends up with the best career at your spot is not high at all... but you do want hit on as many picks as possible.

I was at the Flyers-Blackhawks not long ago and tonight Flyers-Panthers games.

I’m starting to be very depressed to see Michkov do so well in Philly. He scored the GWG in OT against Bedard and tonight had 3 assists.

Sucks to not be able to see Reinbacher progress. Don’t what his impact is going to be for our organization but Michkov is surely gonna be a PPG player for the Flyers. He’s already the fans favorite player, fans buying his jersey at the game, tons of them wearing his jersey already and surprisingly saw both Sochi and SKA Michkov jerseys.

I am confident that Demidov will likely have same impact on and off the ice for us. Have to admit, Michkov’s skating is definitely his weakness, but he is well positioned and has great offensive mind.

I think Michkov’s skating might be a real hindrance in the medium or long term. It’s worth monitoring.

As it relates to us, I’m not super confident in Demidov’s skating either but all signs point to a very strong prospect. As good as you can ask for.

What a shame, the Habs could’ve had both if they hadn’t misevaluated Michkov.

Richardson was relieved of his head coaching role in Chicago.

He would be a nice (re)addition to the staff as he did great work with the young d previously and is a familiar fact.

Hugo should give him a call.

How bad is he? Cause the whole Rangers team looked awful defensively to me. He had respectible stats a couple seasons ago and 30 years old is early for a player of his ilk/pedigree to drop off.

Ranger fans haven't been too impressed with him for at least a year or so, and opposing fans don't like him because he's a dangerous player who knocks heads frequently.

But it's no secret that the Rangers have already tried to move him before so its just a matter of time before it actually happens.

I'd steer away, but I doubt he has any appetite to go to a rebuilding Canadian franchise, regardless.
