I think I remember one time against Ottawa we got penalized for having an illegal player on the ice. We called someone up from Laval, but no one told the NHL. Management and refs figured it out at the same time and we tried to yank him before the refs noticed. They did & we got a penalty.

I can't remember if it was Gauthier or Bergevin era.

He definitely jumps into the hit. It should have been a 5 minute charging penalty.

The NHL doesn't care about head contact when it's a hit from the front like this. Knies had his head down.

They just don't want the blindside hits like with the Nurse hit.

But, regardless, he definitely jumps. His right foot is already lifted and off the ice before contact. He doesn't go through him. He jumps into it to make a high hit.

Forsberg/Stamkos/O'Reilly/Nyquist would be an awesome core.... in 2014

And wtf was that Marchessault contract?! What were they thinking?!
I called them being overrated. Anyone that watched Stamkos last year should have noticed the same thing the Lightning did - he’s just a PP leech at this point. Moving on from him was the right choice. Both him and Marchessault are older and have nothing to prove anymore, it’s all about collecting a likely final big paycheque.

They have an old and awful defence. Brady Skjei was never good enough to fix that.

It’s all on Saros to try and make them semi-competitive, yet again.

Boston picked Joe Sacco as interim coach this week while they re-examine how realistic it is to turn their season around and compete in the East. Some insiders think they are waiting on the future of Penguins coach Mike Sullivan. But would he leave one sinking ship for another? For me, the better bet would be Todd McLellan, who they apparently have reached out to. - Nick Kypreos

Like I said in a previous post, the Broons would become the Bergevin era habs :naughty:.
