Looks like Knies head hit the ice quite hard there at the end which probably did the most damage and why he left the game.Great clean hit in Toronto, Whitecloud on Knies

It should not be allowed but by the rule book it is thanks to pissants like Bettman.Great clean hit in Toronto, Whitecloud on Knies
With the rumours surrounding that Jiricek wants out of Columbus, I would offer them Mailloux + a 2nd round a round pick.
Forsberg/Stamkos/O'Reilly/Nyquist would be an awesome core.... in 2014
And wtf was that Marchessault contract?! What were they thinking?!

I hate the leafs and the leafs media even more. But Whitecloud, whether his feet technically are off the ice or not, is initiating the hit using significant upward momentum. He's immediately putting Knies' head at risk by doing that. It's on him to square up and lower his shoulder there.
He jumped into him -> not a clean hit.
Too much. Mailloux is trending in the right direction very quickly. With the rumours surrounding that Jiricek wants out of Columbus, I would offer them Mailloux + a 2nd round pick.
I called them being overrated. Anyone that watched Stamkos last year should have noticed the same thing the Lightning did - he’s just a PP leech at this point. Moving on from him was the right choice. Both him and Marchessault are older and have nothing to prove anymore, it’s all about collecting a likely final big paycheque.Forsberg/Stamkos/O'Reilly/Nyquist would be an awesome core.... in 2014

Boston picked Joe Sacco as interim coach this week while they re-examine how realistic it is to turn their season around and compete in the East. Some insiders think they are waiting on the future of Penguins coach Mike Sullivan. But would he leave one sinking ship for another? For me, the better bet would be Todd McLellan, who they apparently have reached out to. - Nick Kypreos
