HF Habs: Out Of Town Thread: 2023-2024 season

This is bad news for us... Price to Zona was a slam dunk if they were staying put. With the move, there goes the one franchise with a clear need to add a big LTIR contract... Doubt the Utah group will remotely consider it :(

There is no escaping from Price, Gally & Andy embrace le tank

Grizzlies Grizzlies Grizzlies!

And their slogan could be the "We are the Real Bears!", because Bruins are from fables. :sarcasm:

Only two years left and we don't really need the LTIR space. We have no one to sign long term except Slaf and Guhle who both will come in under Nick. We have 30-something mil cap space 2025 summer even before counting Price's 10.5 space.

Hurts for '25 summer. Will considerably hamper our big-ticket UFA options right when it may be an opportune time to go fishing in that July 1st pond

The NHL and the Arizona Coyotes are preparing for the possibility of a move to Utah as soon as April 18, multiple sources confirmed Wednesday.

The team’s final game is at home against Edmonton next Wednesday. One Coyote indicated today that there are rumours of “meeting about the future” before everyone goes their separate ways for the off-season.

The league sent a memo to its Board of Governors indicating progress in talks to move the team to Utah, but several sources warned to be careful about making any absolute proclamations. “There is a lot that needs to be done,” one said, although it is clear this is a major priority, with maximum effort and speed utilized to reach a finish line.

Not the first time Salt Lake City derails Quebec City plans

Yeah I think this time it's over......can't say I'm mad about it.
Yeah Vegas has already passed them in relevance and taken a place in hockey culture in a few years. Teams like the Wild, Jackets, Coyotes, Panthers, Hurricanes, and Sens have had little impact on the league despite 25+ years in it. The Jackets and Coyotes especially.
