Good game. Not dominant but solid road win, especially considering all the Powerplays on both sides.
Agreed good game but shouldn't have been this close. If Rohrer could keep his stick out of other players's skates... but those were effort plays so can live with those. Actually good they had to close out a tight game, you need that experience as a team. Man Sirman stood out tonight for a whole lot of reasons.

I’ve been looking at potential trade partners and can see a pretty nice fit for a couple London Knights if/when they choose to sell.

To Ottawa:
D Logan Mailloux (May be too controversial)
C Sean McGurn (OA Ottawa native, 1.25 ppg)

On TSN1200 tonight, James Boyd said that they aren’t in a rush to make deals. By waiting, one or both of London and Kitchener will sell out West along with possibly Barrie or Mississauga in the East. Patience is a virtue.

I agree about McGurn but I still like Morrison more because of the experience last year.

I’d like to add a D-Man but Mailloux is a non-starter in this climate. I also lean to not adding a D-Man at all. I want one for redundancy but its more luxury than need.

I do, however, think we need the Centre. If one of Rohrer, Tolnai or Gardiner were to go down with injury, I don’t like the way the roster lines up.

Hats off to your guys squad. I had no clue what to expect from u guys as i haven't seen OTT in what feels like forever, but 17-1 is simply sensational.

I look forward to seeing them when they come to town eventually.

Vinnie Rohrer
First 17 games-0 penalty minutes
Last night-6 penalty minutes
So a bit of an abberation

When you are as tenacious on the puck as he is and he does a lot of reaching in, sooner or later he is going to be a quarter step slower than normal and get the stick into the skates. I think that pretty much was the difference. Normally he’d be more on their back and clear of the skates.

You missed the sentence before I was only talking about mixing the new players into the team and how it has worked out.

I am still one that does not feel that the team should never sell the future

I make no apologies for that.

Have a nice day

Truth be told, if I was told to put a $100 bet on the table and say what the 67’s will do, I’d put my $$$ on them adding one OA and call it a day. It will be an impact OA though. Probably a centre that can play wing. I still think it will be Morrison. They will use only draft picks. Outside chance they use a player like Dever.

Mayich sick as per Walls. Surprised Marelli is in instead ot Mews.

Anybody know why Laforme got 5 games suspension? I missed it.

Piss poor effort by Ottawa today. They pushed hard in the 3rd period and managed to force OT and Rohrer with the breakaway winner in OT. They managed the win but shouldn’t be proud of the effort today.

Didn't see the game but based on shot count Missy appears to have carried the play for the first two periods. However good comeback against a very good team without a top line forward and top 4 D...not too bad. As we've been saying OMG good teams find a way and they did tonight. I think the third and OT speak to their conditionning. I don't recall them being outplayed much in the third this year.

I was planning on trying CHL tv to watch Erie tomorrow. Anybody can comment on the quality? I tried something fron chl a year or two ago and quality was not good.

I have the subscription and you are restricted to the quality of the transmission from the rinks but for the most part it is really good. Same as Rogers for the most part. They use the Local TV broadcast and where they don’t have the local broadcast or there isn’t one, they broadcast the rink camera and the Radio broadcast.

Thanks I'll give it a shot tomorrow

23,16,11,8. Not talked about much but those are points by our D-men. Matier. Costantini, Sirman and Mews (in 11 games). I didn't expect that level of production. I knew Matier would get his points but not so many. Costantini is the big surprise for me, always could handle the puck but before this year didn't result in much. I did expect Sirman to contribute offensively and Mews is a bonus. So do we actually need to add a puck moving D or do we concentrate on beefing up/stretching out the forwards?

Good teams find a way, particularly when they are not at their best. I think the point about conditioning is very well-taken. The 67s are tough to play in the third period. It helps to have a balanced attack and reliable goaltending, as well. The broadcast quality was not that great, with the ice surface seeming to wash out a lot of detail.

We have an OA spot open and three bonafide centres with a couple guys that can play centre in a pinch. We need a centre, preferably a front line capable one. If one of our current centres go down, we will be stretched thin in that regard. It will show when Rohrer is gone for the WJHC.

After that, it is all just “wants.” We don’t need anything after that one spot is filled. The rest is luxury to extend depth.

Bang on. Never out of it.
Great two points from a sub par performance. Take the W and start the bus.
