I was surprised at how bad their defense was. They seemed to be standing around a lot. 67s forecheck forced a lot of turnovers. Windsor had spurts in the O zone, but they didn't look like a top 10 team, overall.
From late in the 2nd period against the Petes through last night, they have been outscored 11-1. It could be injuries, because their overall record is very good.

Very difficult game for some of our younger players today. A couple made outstanding passes ... to the other team.

Also, the last two games were perhaps the most poorly officiated games that I can recall. Bizarre offside calls and non-calls, inconsistent or non-existent penalty assessments.

OTTAWA 67'S GOALIES

67's down 3-2 another shortie

Donoso pulled gives up 3 goals on 10 shots, 2 shorties

Kenny Walls says "you gotta be bleeping kidding me" after Oshawa player trips a 67 player no call a 67 trips a Oshawa player and he gets called for tripping.

Full marks to Oshawa, they played hard, took advantage of their chances and their goalie was good. Don't think the shot count reflects the game, yes we carried the play slightly but didn't finish enough.

It was definitely a cross-check, but typical of the officiating lately. Who knows what a penalty might be?
Refs were horrible today. Missed that one on Butler and about 5 each on Boucher/Stonehouse. They seemed to realize nothing was being called and just ran wild crosschecking and slashing. Those two thrive in that

Kenny Walls must've been watching a different game than me though. The refs were horrible but Ottawa seemed to get the benefit of the whistle. Not that it was on purpose, but they got the advantage more often than the Gens did, that's for sure

Was tonight just an off-game for Jack Beck or has he been struggling lately? Didn't notice him at all. In prior games he would consistently be Ottawa's best player against the Gens

Yeah aside from the Butler hit we got the best of the calls tonight and yes Beck has been struggling a bit lately although he's still getting his points. Mostly assist but having trouble finding the back of the net. Not sure why, I'm sure it will come though just too talented.

Morrison has been giving him (Beck) some really good looks, but as you said he just hasn't been finding the back of the net. Opponents have been getting in his shooting lanes and blocking a lot of his shots; inevitably he'll put a high-quality chance of a defender's shin pads every PP. Just a little dry patch for now in terms of goal scoring but his overall play has been good, imo.

For the second half of the Mississauga game, Cameron put Rohrer and Pinelli with Morrison and I thought they looked really good together. But, Rohrer probably provides more value to this team as a center than he does as a winger on a Morrison line (imo), unless the benches are shortened.

Sirman took a hard check in the 2nd period (iirc) of the Mississauga game and didn't return, and was scratched last night. Hopefully nothing serious.

Seems like one of our #6/#7 D fighting for a spot in the lineup gets into a fight every game. Marrelli, Horner...who's next on the fight card, Ewles?

He has 2 goals in his past 21 games, with those two in a single game. Just 4 in calendar 2023. Maybe there is a lingering injury issue, but the Cone of Silence has dropped. He certainly has the skill and talent to get his mojo back.

The rookie D know that someone will sit every game and their fractious play indicates that they don't want to suffer that fate.
