Any info/guesses on timelines for the return of the wounded?
From the TSN 1200 interview with Dave Cameron:

Morrisson is day-to-day
Rohrer has no concussion symptoms after phase 1 concussion protocol; called it a "miracle"
Boucher is week-to -week
Pinnelli did have the flu this past Sunday (Back tonight)
Smyth is still a month away from contact

Donoso has been stellar the last two games. Almost have to give him the net tonight and let Mac have the sunday game. A weird matchup tonight. You look at the standings and you think a very winneable game despite our injuries. But you look at Kitchener's lineup and you go WTF , quite a disconnect between talent and results. Gotta think those guys will put it together at some point, this game scares me a bit.

Yup as I predict. Ottawa is better. Even without two top players...

WJ
Are they? Barrie outshot them severely and it was tied after 2. Ottawa's goalie was given first star in a 4-1 win.

Full disclosure, I did not watch the game. But is it as clearly an open and shut case as you are making it out to be? Interested in others' thoughts who watched last night.

Visiting 67's fans, please make sure you bring your ticket labelled CIRCUS tonight. Don't forget to buy your beer nuts and enjoy the show!

Rangers are like the invisible man. Never could see that guy. ;)

Thanks! That is amazing news on Rohrer. It is just so inexplicable how different people react and heal on head injuries - someone else might take that same hit and be out for months, perhaps never being the same player again. That being the case, you might see Rohrer back within a couple of weeks.

We'll see on Morrison "day to day" says to me that he should play this weekend. If he doesn't, then it really wasn't "day to day".

Boucher is frustrating. For such a big, strong, robust kid, he sure does get hurt a lot. Sometimes that's just bad luck, sometimes a guy is straight up injury prone. He really needs a good end to the season and playoff run with the 67's to quiet the growing chorus of Sens fans who are calling him a bust of a pick at 10th overall. (To be fair, it wasn't a great draft year - after Dylan Guenther at 9th, it dropped off fast.)

I have a lot of confidence in Dave Cameron as the right coach to guide this team through the stretch run and playoffs, keeping everyone focused and on an even keel. There's no algorithm for experience, and he has a ton of it...

So Ranger Nation , you are that guy that sells those beer nuts? Always wondered who you were.:naughty: They are tasty. We do have some nuts running the show at the Aud.

No, but I aspire to be! I'm certain he doesn't even care about the hockey games, just roasting nuts!

There was an abundance of neutral zone play which resulted in very few actual scoring chances, most of the shots coming from the perimeter for both teams which goalies at this level handle well. 1-1 at the end of 2nd was indicative of the play, Ottawa scored early in the 3rd forcing Barrie to open things up a bit and Ottawa took advantage. Good teams find a way to win these games. Barrie is in no ways a push over.

11 forwards 8 defence same lineup except Mackenzie in for Donoso

Definitely up against a hot goalie. Interesting comment made by Kitchener broadcasters was that we are down a line. Interesting to think that if the 3 come back at the same time do you roll them as a line? The two main lines we have out there now are playing well just need to find the net.

Well we are going to have to play this defensive style until we get our centers back. We cannot afford to come out flat in the 1st though and get down by 2 goals. We should of at least scored 1 goal in the 2nd and not allowed that last minute goal. A Constantini does not impress me with his direct passes to the other team in his own zone and getting beat by Pinelli along the boards at the end of the second.

I wish Morrison and Rohrer would come back so we can really see the actual projected lineup. We will also get a better idea what Mintyukov can really do with these experienced players. Boucher on the other hand should be left out until his shoulder can be declared good to go and as close to a 100% as possible. He will be a valuable asset in the playoffs as long as the shoulder holds up and he can control his emotions.

Then I hope we can be free of any serious injuries for the rest of the season and the playoffs. Minor injuries will happen but hopefully this is all we will encounter. We could probably afford to lose a less experienced player but not our top players down the stretch.

Yes Costantini had a brutal game...it happens but hey he's been so solid for us. I thought our best player was Barlas, getting more and more confident with the puck but not quite finishing...yet. His skating is improving weekly, he's with Kelly a huge breakout candidate next year. Don't know what it was with Matier/Minty last night but they were fanning on passes and Matier was unusually inacurate. Despite that after the first period we played well and could have pulled it off if we made good on our chances and pp. Gotta give credit to the other Costantini who played really well. Always seems to play well against us. Agree with you can't wait to see this team at full strenght.

I think we all know the lineup when everyone comes back, I can roll a lineup that will only be a player or two off. D men will go in & out for the 6th spot Marelli, Sirman, Ewles, Horner will take turns on the bottom pair. Dever will play more than Kelly but Kelly will draw in the odd time down the stretch.

Best lineup

Cooper Foster~Logan Morrison~Jack Beck
Luca Pinelli~Vinzenz Rohrer~Will Gerrior
Brady Stonehouse~Cameron Tolnai~Tyler Boucher
Chris Barlas~Brad Gardiner~Jack Dever

Matthew Mayich ~Jack Matier
Pavel Mintyukov ~Anthony Costantini
Frankie Marelli~Henry Mews

Thomas Sirman
Gavin Ewles
Bradly Horner
Caden Kelly
Derek Smyth (Mono)

I know what the lineup will basically look like but some fine tuning when we have all players available would be nice if necessary. These lines need time to jell and also the special teams could be experimented with. We need some consistency and flow with the lineup before the playoffs come around. In addition, it would be nice to stay in 1st place overall and it could be difficult without these players returning soon. We having been playing really well but a sudden bump in the road and NB is just waiting to pounce.

One thing is certain we cannot afford any additional long term injuries to our core players.

This is a good lineup it is just that you cannot expect 2 lines to play 60 minutes. I think the challenge with our D is to find the right pairing for Minty. It is going to take awhile because they all are used to each other but he is different from what they have played.

I really DO NOT want to see Rohrer back soon. I want all the players that re out to get fully 100% healthy and not rush back. We have a lineup that can win games it is just that we are in a long stretch.

I have seen too many times that the 67's pushed for first overall and then went into the playoffs tired and hurt.

I would rather be second or third in the standings and be healthy and fully rested. than rush players back.

That was the problem with the 67's in the mid 90's great team but too many hurting players when they were needed

Well for one thing I do not think they will let those players return until they are 100% healthy. It would be very nice though to have a chance for some games with a full roster. Minty and Morrison although talented will need time to reach their full potential with their new team. Look at the Petes they made significant changes and they are just not functioning as a cohesive unit but have time to adjust.

There is a big difference, I think, between the Pete's and Ottawa. JB only got 2 new players to add to a lineup that was already set. While both Morrison and Mintty add a lot to the team. We would still be a good team without them. The other big difference I think is that unlike a lot of GM's the team traded for players that would fit the team plan

Morrison was already fitting in Minty is the one that worries me. The sooner they find a defensive D that can back him up and a forward that will come back and take the point. In a sense, Sirman as a forward might be the solution to Minty on normal line play

Well we are both entitled to our opinion and we have no idea how these players will fit into the team plan with such a small sample. Morrison may looked like he fit in but is he capable of more with different linemates. Minty to me seems to look a bit lost at times and I am sure this is due to unfamiliarity with his teammates and the coaching.

Anyways, Cameron is doing a good job and Boyd managed to get the players he wanted. Hopefully all will get healthy and we have a long playoff run without anymore major injuries.

Not a good weekend point-wise. The one thing that is shown is that if you come up again hot goalies, you can get in trouble. \It also showed that these guys are tired and could use some extra bodies.

Is there anyone that we can bring up as emergency?
