Penalties in the early part of the season are normal with a lot of rookies. There is the feeling that they have to prove themselves and set the do not F with me or I will retaliate.

The interesting thing about this team is as stated earlier this is a team that is balanced teams are going to have a hard time stopping them from scoring.

As to an OA although I am sure some would like it sooner rather than later I think it will be a last-minute decision. Cameron and body are going to want to look at where the hole to fill is. Right now there is no hole perse Yes we could use a D probably down the stretch but then again Belanger is due back soon.
All the forward lines are clicking so there really is not a hole there at this stage.
We also have to see who is available and what the price is going to be. I think only a couple of teams may be looking at next year but there are a lot of teams IMHO that are underperforming.
Kingston and Barrie both come to mind I thought wright was going to be a Rossi-type player but he is not having the year everyone thought. I expect Kingston to panic any week now and make a trade to get him what he needs.

Tolani and Robinson are the surprise players on the team this year to me.

KGN is not going to panic about Wright and/or offence from forwards. Wright is up to ~16 pts in 11 gp, playing with an ‘05 born F.
You’re surprised by 19 yr olds having break through seasons? You truly are far out, east

Ok I never thought I'd write this and it's still early but am I wrong in thinking we might be in position to fill those OA spots to maybe have a decent playoff run ( no we are not a championship team but the experience could be gold for the next two years). I'm not talking about going for Mctavish or another star but a solid forward and a D for the stretch run. At the right price obviously....thoughts.

I couldn’t agree more with this statement. It’s incredible to think that EVERY player on an 8-4 team other than Adam Varga can return NEXT year. If they made a move to add a reasonably priced OA D and PF they could potentially make a huge run in the playoffs and do absolutely no harm to their future.

They will need to make room for their two first and second round picks next year, not to mention 2nd rounder Cooper Foster and 3rd rounder Jack Dever from this year’s draft, among others.

In the place of moving on from draft picks that could be used to make a big run next year, they could potentially player for player trades to add. They will need the space for players next year anyways.

We are definitely getting excited about this team.

You make a good point that they will need to make room next year. It's a given that Foster is on the team (having a good season up there) and the two first rounders. As for our two second rounders I wonder if they should trade them back to 23 and 24 where we are lacking a second and two thirds? After all you can only have so many bodies. There likely will be trades to free up space as the internal competition for icetime runs it's course. The knights have been doing it for years...trade surplus players for future assets. Has worked out ok for them!

Any suggestion of players that might be made available due to internal competition and/or not fitting into the window of contention for the team? Perhaps guys like Sirizzotti or Johnston?

Remember that next year only 3 of you '02s can make your final roster. So you really have 3 spots opening up, not just one.

Yes you 're right we will lose two 02's but we will still have 13 forwards and 7 D likely returning. Add in Foster and two first rounders and at least a second rounder and we have too many. I do think a few will be traded. Johnston is a possibility. As for Sirizzotti I would keep him as he's just scratching the surface...very talented and he can score

Hell, my Sabres started out 5-1-1. I wouldn’t make many snap judgements after the first 5-10 games. It’s a long season and many teams are figuring things out after being off for year. Not to mention the weird schedule. Still, it’s good to enjoy the wins while keeping it in that perspective.

And if moldenhauer plays in the ohl ever the 67’s will get so many more picks.

He just played his first game of the year with the Chicago Steel. It would be a huge coup for the 67’s if he ever signs in Sarnia but at this point it looks like a huge longshot.

Kgn 4-3 in SO penalty to Johnson hurt us.

Am I wrong or is Cameron still trying to find the best line combo

For a team that at best was expected to sneak into the playoffs they sure are getting some valuable experience winning .
This team will sore to the top in 2022-23....
And most likely 23-24.
Fun times
Thank you 67s for working so hard

That was a winnable game last night despite not having Beck and Varga. Is it just me or are we being shortchanged by the refs? They called almost nothing on kingston. Sirizzotti gets high sticked in the face no call. Johnston gets cross checked and boarded on the same shift nocall. Likely led to the penalty he took after ( deserved) that cost us the game. I'm usually not one to critic the refs but this year ...oh my. Call it both ways for god's sake. I guess the league wants to make their marquee player Mr Wright look good

Really starting to like Sirman's game. Very good puckhandler, calm and crafty with the puck, good edges. Will be our future puck moving D.

Overall they played a pretty solid game, in the shootout they did not make the goalie work very hard though. Personally I wish they would of gave Gaidamak at least a chance as he has more offensive skills than Sirizzotti or Robinson.

I would agree about Gaidamack over Robinson but I think Sirizzotti is a good choice, has a hell of a shot which he should have used instead of deeking.

I agree about Sirizzotti, but use the tools you have and do not try to out think or out maneuver the goalie. Your shot would give you a much better chance of scoring. Hopefully he will adjust.

Seemed pretty even to me. You could say Ottawa got away with their share as well. PPs were 2 vs. 3 with both teams scoring a PP goal. Kudos to the video guy for emphasizing the calls they missed for the 67s. Reminded me of the Bills video guy who would slow down all the plays on the fly to help the coaches determine whether to challenge.
