A few things got my eye. Up 4-3 with 1:30 to go. Who is taking the defensive zone face off? Barlas! Yes we got scored on but it tells me Cameron/Boyd are looking at the bigger picture...develop the kids! All the rooks are getting quality icetime. We could be much better as the year goes on and watch out next year. We could be dangerous this year ( not contender dangerous) with Belly back...good goaltending, good defense and we seem to be better at scoring up front than I expected. Stay tuned!

Sirius I agree that Cameron is developing confidence at this stage of the season. It shows. While I don't see us winning the M Cup this year this team is definitely going to be in a top 4 fight all year. It is going to depend on the defence and goaltending to keep the scores low.
I say keep the scores low because we are not getting the shot totals that would make us an offence to be worried about

Roher and Gaidamak seem to be the real deals and Tonai seems to have stepped up his game when it comes to faceoffs.

They are exactly what Boyd and the 67's want which is a team that may not win all it's games but is going to provide entertainment game in and game out.

SIDE QUESTION:
I KNOW THAT 67'S DO NOT SEE A LOT OF WRIGHT BUT I AM SURPIRSED. I thought he would have had a Rossi type year this year where he ran away with the scoring title. Right now he is the number 3 point getting center on the Fronts.
Anyone know what is happening?

EX 67 WATCH
QUINN 6 POINTS IN 3 GAMES
ROSSI 2 GAMES 1 POINT
SASHA 3 GAMES 0 POINTS
OKOTIUK BAHL 3 GAMES 1 POINT
CLARKE 2 GAMES 1 POINT

If Quinn keeps this up he could be in the NHL soon as a callup for injury and given a chance to show what he has. Good for him.

Interesting link:

Elite Prospects - Team Comparison in OHL

67s are:
- 3rd youngest team
- smallest and lightest team
- 13th in experience (previous games played in the OHL)

those comparisons can be so misleading, check again for a big change after Jan 10.
Because the OA positions are not filled by mediocre players, the ‘67s are very inexperienced and an average of 2-3 months younger than the average team?

Another gutsy comeback by the poles! 6-3 now who would have thought? The big thing is confidence is building early and we don't have arguably our best 19 y.o. yet. I thought they would be 7th, 8th before the season. Hum maybe I need to revise that.

Vsevolod Gaidamak is going to show the scouts that they made a mistake not drafting him. Good for him.

This is a team that has a lot of players with chips on their shoulders because no one thought they were good enough to draft.

That is going to make them a better team and a dangerous team for anyone that they play.

Still not sold on Wright have a feeling that there is something wrong. Point a game is ok but he needs to show that he can play and be dominant and that is not happening. I was am expecting Rossi-like numbers.

GREAT GAME BY CRANLEY also

You make a few good points beast. First yes Cranley was very good and not just tonight. Aside from that first game he's been solid. I also agree about Wright, expected him to be much more dominant after the way he played as a 15 y.o. Maybe there is something going on. Is he battling an injury?? Or maybe just a slow start. He can wait until Sunday to snap out of it though!

I only tuned in during the 3rd period.
Great win .

Wow this team tries and are learning so many
Valuable lessons
Good job team

What the heck is going on down in our nations capital? Thought you guys were supposed to have a bit of a rebuilding season on your hands. LOL, kind of like the Knights in the West never saw this coming? Cheers, seems like that winning culture you have developed in Ottawa the past few seasons is paying off big time!

Just noticed we seem to have taken to many penalties last night though.
Should try harder today to stay out of the box

Good game. I thought we carried the play but penalties killed us. It's something we have to clean up. Of our penalties they were all deserved imo. What bugs me is Kingston got away with quite a few but what can u do? What a goal by Chromiak!

Just wanted to say I really liked Chris Barlas tonight and he got more icetime as the game went. Seems to be finding his legs. He's gonna be a good one and not afraid to mix it up.

Last thought. Anybody else puzzled that Sirizzotti was a scratch for the second time in four games? I don't think he's playing badly and he has the skillset to score. Odd that an 18y.o. gets scratched like that.

Is he a healthy scratch? I think he was one of the players they were counting on this year.

10 games into the season, he's played in 8, and has only missed games in the back-backs so it may just be a bit of early season load management until everyone gets up to speed. With 14 forwards on the roster, guys will be getting games off, that's not a bad thing this early in the season, the schedule is about to intensify so he'll get his minutes.
