Jack Quinn, the AHL Rookie of the Month, tallied five goals and five assists for 10 points, already surpassing his offensive output from his truncated 2020-21 campaign.
Limited to 15 games last season after undergoing hernia surgery in April, Quinn returned to the Amerks and scored less than five minutes into their season-opening contest at Utica on Oct. 17. He notched his first three-point game as a pro on Oct. 22, picking up a goal and an assist in a 5-3 win over Syracuse, and his first career two-goal game lifted Rochester to a 7-3 victory at Toronto on Oct. 23. Quinn closed out the month by tallying two assists in a 4-3 win at Laval on Oct. 29, followed by a goal and an assist in a 6-5 overtime win over the Rocket on Oct. 30.
A first-round choice (eighth overall) by Buffalo in the 2020 NHL Draft, Quinn recorded two goals and seven assists in 15 games with Rochester as a 19-year-old last season. The native of Ottawa, Ont., also won a silver medal with Canada at the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship. Quinn played two seasons of junior hockey with Ottawa (OHL) and finished second in the league with 52 goals in 2019-20.

How did kingston get on the top 10 chl.....

So wrong

The experts seem to think that with Wright this team will fly. They are expecting a lot from a team that has Chromiak and Wright.
Actually, they should but the question still stands where is Wright?
Does Kingston have the defence to make it work?

Personally, I think that Ottawa may be a better team once they get all the parts firing as one.

I watched last Friday's game with Kingston on TV and was at the Saturday game - in both, Kingston couldn't exit their own zone to save their lives. Bad passes and giveaways galore - especially when Ottawa put any kind of pressure on them. Most of their goals over the two games were scored on the power play and the only time they seemed to threaten at 5 on 5 was when Wright or Chromiak were out there - mainly Chromiak however because Wright doesn't look like he's 100%.

It will be interesting to see how they do over the next several weeks and leading up to the trade deadline (where I expect they'll be big time buyers) because I would agree that based on its current make-up, this doesn't look like a top 10 team.

The team seems very balanced and the work ethic is very good. We must keep in mind that they are still learning after such a long break from games.
I am pleasantly surprised at how fun they are to watch.

Agreed they are fun to watch and very balanced. Good coaching by Cameron as there is not much of a drop off between line #1 ( whichever it is) and 4. This is gonna be a handful of a team the next two years and they will come in waves.

Some observations on the game last night. Two things they have to clean up
1- again very slow coming out of the gate. First ten minutes are not good for us
2- oh my god the penalties! Even worse the last two games. It cost us the win against Kingston and almost yesterday. We were saved by our PP on that 5 min slew foot call ( really soft call imo but i'm not gonna complain as we've been on the wrong side of calls most of the year). Anyway that's something Cameron has got to address. Before last night we were getting called on a lot of trips/holds/hooks which happens with a young team. Last night we got call for cheap penalties-Sawyer retaliating-Barlas cross checking etc... We can't have that, Cameron needs to sit a guy as an example.Ok finished my rant on the penalties! The positive stuff
1- great game by Sirizzotti, man can he shoot. We need to give him more icetime.
2- Tolnai is a steady Eddy out there, don't notice him much and then has 3 points
3-I'm repeating but Barlas is gonna be a gem. Love his compete and his skill is starting to show.
4-Beck is becoming the guy!
5-Matier is becoming a beast but a la Larry Robinson he's good for one headscratching play per game
6-After a soft first goal Mckenzie continues to do well

On the negative side there is one player that is dissapointing me this year..Thomas Johnson. Loved him as a rookie and was expecting more of him from a compete level.

North bay next, should be a good test as they appear to be a good team.

Wow 8 and 4 who would have thought! And they won the type of game young teams typically lose....kudos. Shout out to Robinson, you've had it tough kid but you showed toughness tonight, way to go! Great game by our masked man.

Ok I never thought I'd write this and it's still early but am I wrong in thinking we might be in position to fill those OA spots to maybe have a decent playoff run ( no we are not a championship team but the experience could be gold for the next two years). I'm not talking about going for Mctavish or another star but a solid forward and a D for the stretch run. At the right price obviously....thoughts.
