I just called him and i tried to walk him through an account setup process to join this forum because I'm hoping he will do that instead of what he says he wants to do because he's literally going to get thrown inside the clink if he keeps up with this he's already burnt up part of the yard, he's pounded a half pint of skol and is locked out of his own house. This is not going to end well for him I haven't seen him like this since he burnt the Thanksgiving turducken he worked on for 3 days.Lol keep us posted please.
I misread. A 2nd rounder is still pretty lousy compensation. How Dorion couldn't squeeze a 1st out of that is beyond me.What? That's not a condition, that's a condition on a conditional pick. If the Sharks re-sign Karlsson and make the cup finals in 2019, then the Sens get a 2021 1st. If they just re-sign Karlsson, it's a 2021 2nd. If they don't re-sign him, it's nothing.
I'm not even considering that. Why would they trade him?
Glad you mean?
We basically gave up Brett Howden and Libor Hajek + a First for McDonagh. We gave up Namestnikov and first for Miller. We paid more anyway you slice it. Hajek is better than every prospect included in this trade. Let alone Howden.
It's kind of an odd stipulation. It's not like the Sens are going to be competitive this year anyways.Well one can never be certain of chemistry in the room when bringing in someone new. The same.van be said of contract negotiations. If nothing happens by the deadline maybe the sharks decide to guarantee that they get something of value back for him and move him elsewhere and for a better package then they paid for him.
Funny how the sens don't want him in the east at all. They really don't want this mistake rubbed in their remaining fans faces too much.
A plus tho, the arena name makes sense. They truly are a tire fire now...
i know you're shell shocked so it's understandable you're in denial right now. But no player who's looking to sign the last big contract of his career as a UFA is going to sign with a team with a complete idiot owner directing a total rebuild.

Yeah - this is the most surprising part. Tampa I'm sure *did* beat it, but another Western team probably could have/should have ponied up.Im surprised that Dal or VGK couldnt beat that.
Because Melnyk is petty and vindictive. Why would Ottawa care if Karlsson was traded to the East this year? They've already admitted their rebuilding.
Putting in that condition in lieu of a better asset is hilarious.
Marleau has declined? You offered to re-up him.

Point+Foote+Sergachev is helluva lot better than this trade
Ya seems underwheelming for sure. Guess the asks of a young star like Ehlers, Nylander etc was too big a price for a guy a year from UFA.i still cant believe this is all ottawa got
I think it was the fear of Karlsson not signing. Apparently he said no chance to signing any extension until his family finds out they like the city.Yeah - this is the most surprising part. Tampa I'm sure *did* beat it, but another Western team probably could have/should have ponied up.
One thing - Vegas has (by necessity) a rather shallow pool. They've only had two drafts and they just traded one of their better prospects. Maybe they didn't want to rush a deal that was going to gut the quantity in their pool.
For Dallas... I really don't know. I can't believe they didn't top that offer. It makes no sense.
I think the Subban Weber deal might beat it but it's up there.
