Retaining 25% for 4 years is not nothing. I'd say this is good damage mitigation though.I would assume so but honestly even if he doesn't still a great trade for Ottawa to be out of Korpisalos brutal contract.

In all honesty, getting rid of Korpisalo plays a bigger factor than if Ullmark re-signs.Bingo right there. This post. If linus leaves for free agency Bruins did fine.
None of those are conversation starters, IMO.Unbelievable we didn't trade Chychrun, Pinto or the 7th OA.
If you go with the assumption that any team with a goalie making $4.5 mill or higher can’t move off their guy in 25/26, how many options does Ullmark truly have?He most likely has better options than Ottawa. Players don´t exactly want to stay there.
Yeah, an unsigned Ullmark is worth what, a high 2nd? If it costs 10 slots to dump Korpi that’s fine.In all honesty, getting rid of Korpisalo plays a bigger factor than if Ullwark re-signs.

Sarcasm I'm sureNone of those are conversation starters, IMO
To be fair, plenty of people have that on their resume when facing the Leafskorpisalo has never been on a good team except maybe l.a. it'll be interesting to see what he can do on a team like boston. he's shown flashes of incredible play like singlehandedly handling the leafs in the playoffs.
They got rid of Korpisalo, that alone is worth a 1st+Hardly earth shattering return and from Ottawa’s perspective, a lot of nothing. But I’ll still laugh my ass off when Ullmark bolts the first chance he gets and they have nothing to show for it like with Debrincat.
What? I'm saying I wouldn't have traded any of those for Ullmark.Sarcasm I'm sure
The other two pieces basically cancel each other outWell that's an... interesting return for Ullmark. Seems like they could've gotten a better skater than Kastelic. The other 2 pieces make sense.
His comment not yoursWhat? I'm saying I wouldn't have traded any of those for Ullmark.
Korpisalo is the Dubois of goalies. He's riding that covid series vs Toronto just like PLD3
3 million for a backup who once was a vezina type himself ain't bad at all. That 1st is sweet and kastelic is somewhat useful.
I'm making the mistake of reading posts while watching the game. His comment not yours
All the comments on social media about Bruins wanting Pinto, Chychrun, thr 7th overall. So I'm 99.9% sure his post was sarcastic.I'm making the mistake of reading posts while watching the game.
How would that in any way be a good outcome thoughif ullmark doesn't want to re-sign the sens could flip him at the deadline assuming he doesn't completely fall off the earth. it's almost impossible to hate this move for ottawa.
the only way they could mess this up is by giving ullmark a dumb contract.
How would that in any way be a good outcome though
Unbelievable we didn't trade Chychrun, Pinto or the 7th OA.
Maybe if these losers could have wrapped up their precious stupid Stanley Cup Final before the dying days of June...this is utter disrespect to the 2 teams competeing for hockey's PRIZE tonite
wow
Went to Detroit two years ago for bertuzzi. Thrn to Ottawa for debtincatWhat did the bruins originally trade that pick for ?
Nah, Ottawa is where dead goalies go. One exception being Talbot, who stated that he had the worst injury issues in his career by far in his year in OttawaStrange deal from the Bruins.
I'll be curious to see how Ullmark looks outside the Boston system.
Ottawa is where goalies die.
He never took that next step in Buffalo. That’s why he isnt still there. I actually think he’ll be just fine, but that is, and has been the concern. How much better will the results be over Korpisalo? We’ll see. Who’s numbers are gonna skyrocket in Boston btw. All goalies do playing in that system, and he’s perfect to play it.He played in Buffalo for years and put up decent numbers.
