Chychrun fantasy owner here. Pissed that I missed out on weeks of production for this and landed in the worst possible situation

Honestly, this should be a case study of how you lose all leverage. Half the league was interested in this guy and Arizona's insane prices likely drove them away

Boston with Orlov
Edmonton with Ekholm
LA with Gavrikov
Toronto with McCabe

Coyotes realized they were left at the dance with no partner and started to panic. Great deal by Ottawa

That isn't a decent chance at an unprotected pick next year.

I'm glad you want to argue about the word decent. I've been hoping to get to do this today.

It's probably not going to happen, but it's not insane to think they either win one of the lotto spots or drop a few spots.

Looks like Armstrong overplayed his hand. That's a decent return, but knowing what they were originally looking for...

Really good addition for Ottawa though. He should help take them to the next level.

Great Job Ottawa! I asked you to make this happen a while ago.

This feels like Armstrong played hardball with a bunch of GM's, those GM's called his bluff and Dorion was the guy who came in an OK offer in the end to get it done. :dunno:

While it's not thaaaat much. Ottawa's 1st this year is probably worth more than anything anyone else was offering. Mid firsts are worth like twice as much as late firsts.

Fun to visualize -- this brings them up to 35 draft picks for the next 3 years
