Ah good question, don't readily know the answer to...but I can tell you the most impressive thing about Roman Gabriel was his ability to shake defensive lineman off to avoid a sack. He was 6'3" 200 lbs. as I recall and a big quarterback for his day, and strong...and the defensive lineman guys in those days were good, don't get me wrong, but they didn't spend all day and night in the gym, if you get my drift.

He would stand up in the pocket and shake off defenders and get the pass away. Strong guy with a strong arm; and for whatever reason couldn't win a playoff game to save his ****ing life.

Gabe was Big Ben before there was Big Ben.

Agreed, that was the whole ball game right there, he goes in to score the TD to break the Steelers' back.

That and Ferragamo failing to see a wide open Billy Waddy on the play when he threw the late game INT to Jack Lambert.

I was as proud of that Ram team in defeat than I was in any of their wins. That team was banged up all year and finished the year just 9-7, then went toe to toe with one of the great teams ever in the Super Bowl.

Yeah me too.

I went to the Rams final home game in the Coliseum that season, where we lost badly to a lame ass New Orleans team, 45-28. I remember boos cascading down from the lack of effort and I told my friend this team isn't going anywhere in the playoffs.

Then we upset Dallas with that bomb right before halftime and that Waddy pass over the middle and then beat Tampa 9-0 in what had to be the most boring NFC title game ever (both on the road) and were one quarter away from taking it all.

Almost 36 years ago. Jesus H. Christ.

Don't remind me.

Never forget the pass to Waddy that won the Dallas game. Ball was slightly tipped by a Dallas LB, but still found its way to Waddy, who split the defense and scored.

Also never forget the call by Vin Scully. Waddy!!!! Easy to forget how good Vin was doing the NFL (and everything else he did).

After losing Greinke to Arizona, getting outbid by the Giants for Cueto, backing out of the Chapman trade, Iwakuma fails the physical and has now signed with the A's. ROFL Dodgers.

If he failed a physical with one baseball team, how can another baseball team pick him up? I don't understand.

they need to flip some of those prospects in to ****ing tangible assets for the next couple seasons - having a great farm system is all fine and good, but this team should be contending NOW in Kershaw's prime - it's being wasted.

Dodgers going with the Dean Lombardi structure and I'm glad. We are loaded with pitching prospects and very good ones at that. Rehab Puig this year then trade him at the deadline for a #2 and we're good, just let everyone else develop. Urias may be brought up this year he,s that good.

What the F...?!
It's like watching Mustard vs Ketchup.

It looks like the Rams took the blue and white's (described above with photos) and turned the white into gold. Same theme. Looks like ****, and just goes to prove don't **** with the right thing.

Please go back to the blue and whites when you guys return next season, please?

My guess is someone threw a yellow towel into the wash before the game and all the whites turned to yellow.

Rams have won two straight, against garbage teams though. I guess it's better than nothing.

I wish the Rams would Fire Fisher though, terrible coach.

Tampa has fallen on its face last two games after a very good middle part of the season. They really aren't a garbage team, but wildly inconsistent, and probably blew their chance at making the playoffs tonight.

I wouldn't say DET or TB are garbage teams. Heck, the Lions since firing their DC, have been one of the better teams. And as for TB, they have a good overall defense. So, yeah, let's give Rams some credit.

*OC for the Lions not DC. Teryl Austin could easily become their next head coach

meanwhile in slovenia we're having an eruption of joy bcs of our ski jumpers. today two brothers, peter and domen prevc, 23 and 16 years old, won a world cup competition in engelberg, switzerland, 1th and 2nd place for them, 3rd place for veteran noriaki kasai from japan, 42 years old. historical moment. the big 4 hills tourney starts next weekend, that will be #1 highlight of the season.

ps. maybe strange, but a lot of hockey fans in slovenia follow ski jumping, and vice versa. two sports for guys with balls.
