I don't have much hope with the Guggenheim Partners. They spent money foolishly and now are rethinking that strategy and lost one of their aces in Greinke to a division rival and are hoping guys returning from long term injuries will be good enough to replace him.

They're going to wear down Kershaw and in a couple of years he'll either bolt or his body will be worn out and we'll see the same process all over again with the team going through another "rebuild." They'll just disguise their financial losses as a "rebuild" and use that crutch to save all of that lost money. Then again, they might just be sitting comfortably on that stupid TV contract courtesy of Time Warner and may very well turn a profit from that contract alone while shedding some contracts.

My favorite Mike Piazza monent was my brother and I were at a game, and I had just told him that Willie Stargell was the only player to hit a home run into the Dodger Stadium parking lot, and he did it twice.

And within 10 seconds Piazza hit one into the parking lot. :)

Pissed he's going in as a Met.

Would Farmers Field have been built if the relocation applications were submitted around the time the stadium was announced? I believe they were just waiting for a team and everything was approved circa 2011-12.

I believe that was the idea. They needed a team committed to moving to LA for the stadium to be built, but never got one.
 
Vontez Burfict should never play another down in the NFL.

He will very likely be cut tomorrow and goodluck to whoever picks up that clown, he is a DISGRACE to the entire sport.
 
What a game between Pitt and Cin!!! With tools like Burfict with a cheap shot to the head of Antonio Brown, and another punk like Pacman Jones acting like animals, those classless ******* deserved to lose.
 
Marvin Lewis will keep his job because of that meltdown when it really should cost him his job. In fact, he should have lost his job several times already.

Thank God I didn't grow up in Ohio. Being a sports fan in that state must be absolutely miserable.
 
You don't win championships with guys like Burfict. The guy's more about himself than he is about the team. Not only the cheap head shot on Brown, but how about that run to the tunnel, after the interception? I hope the guy's out of the league asap.
 
You reap what you sow when you have guys like Burfict, Jones, Maulaluga etc.

Feel bad for the Bengals because when healthy they are a much stronger team than Pittsburgh, unfortunately Dalton got hurt.
 
Aside from the bengals meltdown, did anyone else think that Bryant's TD catch should have been overruled? He didn't even have possession of the ball, until he was out of bounds.

In any case, I'm happy Pitts won. I just hope Brown and Ben are well enough to play next week.

If Brown plays there will be controversy since he was diagnosed with a concussion.

He was an a**hole in college. Is it any surprise he is still an a**hole?
 
27-yard field goals are made 97% of the time in the NFL. Probably over 90% of the time in 5-A high school football as well would be my guess.

The Seattle Seahawks are one lucky football team.
